Very happy to see a new G10 Grip!!!!

The only thing that concerns me is the blue.

I guess I should carry a knife with blue considering my name...
 
Well I'm finally going to buy a Griptillian now, the gray g-10 and blue spacers are fine by me, and upgraded steel seems worth it at that price point.
 
My reason for disliking deep carry clips is not limited to a specific brand. I don't like to have the knife so far down my pocket that I have to dig for it. I like having some of the handle available to retrieve, especially when wearing gloves. The other issue I have is that the deep carry clips I've seen from almost every manufacturer, be them like this, wire, or some fancy contraption is the retention is almost nonexistent. The lateral sway the clip has (being able to slide back and forth) when in the pocket is a hot spot with no gloves and easily deformed with gloves during use. To each their own I guess.

Thanks Charlie. My quest for today is to find a 555-1 :D I don't think that will happen until later in January though...

I called BM yesterday and talked to Nolan in CS, trying to find out when the Mini's would be available. Super nice guy...
He told me that they weren't going to release any of them until after the SHOT Show, but decided to do a pre-release version.
All of the others, and the regular production versions, won't be available until probably around the end of January...
He said they are going to be very busy because of all the new versions for 2016 being released.

Not sure Nathan. I think the coated blade might look good with the grey/blue color combination. I gotta locate a 555-1 first :D

I hear you, I really like those too. Looks like a 555BK-1 may be in the future for me.
 
Sad day guys; I was hoping my Grip would be here today but it looks like Monday. :hmm:
 
Here is a crappy pic I took right after I got the knife. I was waiting at the DMV; my teen got her permit today. Mike's already seen this one as I shot a text as soon as I got it.

The blue is something that doesn't really bother me but I wouldn't miss it if it were gone. The knife is very well done. The Griptilian is a great knife the way it was but this one just put it over the top. I love the feel of the G10, super smooth, no blade play, and the edge looks almost polished. I believe this one is here to stay; we shall see.
