The blue is something that doesn't really bother me but I wouldn't miss it if it were gone. The knife is very well done. The Griptilian is a great knife the way it was but this one just put it over the top. I love the feel of the G10, super smooth, no blade play, and the edge looks almost polished. I believe this one is here to stay; we shall see.

My 556-1 was delivered late today. I tried taking pictures inside the house, but they turned out really crappy. I sent one to Cody, but I should have waited until tomorrow lol...

They did a nice job on it. Blade is smooth, it will almost fall closed on its own, no movement, and perfectly centered...
The grind is even, but it is a little rough. It is sharp though. The finish reminds me of my S30V from the custom build.

seriously, this might be the package i have been waiting for on a grip. sure beats the cost of getting a upgraded (steel wise) grip and aftermarket scales from the states. seems to start being available over here as well.

Looks great! Damn it my wallet is hurting. Just got dinged for the Team Gemini BG this morning and bought a North Arms paring knife last night. :(

I have a question and I apologize in advance if it's already been answered... The deep carry pocket clip, is it the usual painted variety or is it black oxide-coated?
 
Boo hiss. I like the old school 3-screw black oxide clips anyway due to the tensioning adjustment ease. Wouldn't take me but a minute to fix on this model.
 
I'm placing an order soon for both the full size and mini but I don't want to have the first production marks on either. Should I wait a bit to place an order or would it be okay to place the order now?

My 551-1 came from KSF and had no writing on the blade.
