WALKING DEAD Season 4, Sunday 10-13-13

If someone did not watch the airing tonight and they do not want spoilers they shouldn't be reading a thread about the show.

Very same fan threads such as this one on other forums I frequent. Last night, none of those contained spoilers literally right after the very first airing.

I wasn't expecting to hear that Daryl was an undercover cop. Especially since Merl was such an outlaw.

not to offend anyone, I know some people don't have cable or other means of watching, but if you are unable to watch the current season, why would you read a thread talking about the current season? I avoided the trailers like the plague, I didn't want anything spoiled. I mean no disrespect to those that have no way of watching the current episode/season.

Excellent point. However, not about those who don't have cable or are stuck with a provider who doesn't carry AMC. Not everyone is able to catch the first airing. For some odd reason, outside of America, The Walking Dead airs on the following Tuesday. In other parts of the world, it airs on the Thursday instead. Also, even in America, not everyone is able to catch the first airing at 9pm EST. That night, they get two more chances.

I just honestly didn't think they'd do something so stupid as to give away a major plot-line right before the very first episode. Yeah, thanks AMC for telling us that a bunch of people died and that the undead had made their way into the safe portion of the prison. Gee, how could that happen? Oh yeah! Someone died unexpectdly and became a walker inside the unit. What the Hell were they thinking?!

That explains it, I never got to see the last episode of last season! :thumbdn: No wonder.....lol

Oh! You missed out on one helluva Season finale. They re-ran it on AMC just before the start of the new episode for this season.

LOL !

Daryl was just screwing with the kid.
Damn it! He got me too.

When the pig and the kid got sick the first thing I thought of was the water supply. They seemed to have made a point to show the showerhead dripping water, and also Rick washing his face in that barel of water. I dunno. Seems fishy. Governor plant a few dead walkers in the well?

Its someone on the inside. The preview for next episode showed someone coming up on the prison side of the chain link fence letting walkers munch on a rat. It explains why so many had been at the fences latey, which Carol saw as an anomaly.

Someone in the prison is using the munched on rats to poison something inside the prison in my opinion. Guess we'll find out next week or so.

Anybody else think that Rick may have messed up by not ending the suicide woman and her walker husband. Just letting her lay there to turn seems like a mistake in the making.

Garth

I don't know if she was turning or not cause she stabbed herself. Didn't see that she got bit. But I sure wanted to see what was under that bag that was moving around.

Think I'd have hacked her head off and throwed it in the bag with the dude and let them naw each others face off.

He may have offed her and they just did not show it. He would have used a knife. If he did not that may be the same type mistake Carl made leaving the one in the swamp. I really think the little girl is feeding fence walkers going by what she said to Carl. The sickness has me stumped, any fever that kills that fast with bleeding would sweep through all of them in a couple days.
A couple other things that might be hints
Rick is looking at the bleeding eye walker when he finds the Governors pistol
Why are they showing insects at start of each scene?

You don't have to be bit,you turn no matter how you die.

I enjoyed the episode a lot. Looking forward to more storytelling and less gore for gore, action for action this year.

They kept showing the same walker at the fence with the bleeding eyes (most pronounced zombie feature), and then when the kid died, his eyes were bleeding. Maybe that is just all zombies. Going airborne maybe?

Zombie virus attacking immune system? Victim dies of that then turns into a walker afterwards?

Definitely looks like this season will be mostly action. The new pandemic appears like septicemic plague.

That was my thinking too that it somehow spread to the water supply. Producers said the "new
threat" this season is something that would be scary in a normal environment and even more so in an apocalyptic one so a lack of useable water would really be bad.

I also agree with others that it could also be the virus evolving. From what we know so far is everyone is infected and will become walker upon death but the the infection itself doesn't kill you, just turns you but perhaps the virus has now become fatal.

Yup, just like Carl made by not shooting that one who ended up getting the older guy (forgot his name)

Also screwed up by throwing a gun and ammo away. Shameful
