Walking Dead Time!

I see Carl leaving the group at some point. Maybe next season. He is sadistic and he thinks his group is weak. Maybe he will form the new antagonist group later on. Maybe the Governor will recruit or adopt him.

Why didn't they take over woodbury?

Its better setup. Doesn't make any sense to me. They also took away the gate so the zombies will have free reign to it.

Also they said they were running out of food in the prison and they moved more people in there?????

I thought is was a very average finale... Are they running out of ideas...?

It was LAME!! The show should use more ideas from the comic it would keep things moving along. There was way too much stalling this season. WE'RE GOING TO WAR!.... No war. They have enought writing done for plenty more seasons they should keep the ball rolling! Oh yeah and more Busse knives for the characters. :D

I'm totally pro Carl, sadistic? I think not, it's shtf-land and when a guy who was just shooting up your home runs up, you get the drop on him, tell him to drop his weapon and he doesn't immediately drop his weapon you sure as hell shoot.

What really pissed me off, governor goes on an unchecked shooting spree and no one plasters his brains... No excuse, the governor was saved for some asinine episode just like the black dude that saved ricks life.

Blondie took her time to talk to Milton while he was turning into a zombie, stupid, she knew better... Tear jerker/ half assed wrap up of the season.

Also, armed with rifles to defend the prison you see some of the worst shooting possible... Of course leading to the governors shooting spree.

Some how after all this time in south USA the vehicles are running just fine.

I agree, they're raking in dough for slow plot with cliffhangers.

I'll watch next season too unless they keep pulling BS... The one redeeming action was Carl killing that other boy, it actually made sense... Well they haven't killed off Daryl yet either, when he dies I'll be done watching no matter how well written or acted the show is.

I've seen this came up in another forum but did Andrea fire Rick's Python at the end? or an autoloader? I coulda swear I heard a bullet casing hitting the ground....

Total tv flaw!! It happened and my dad and I looked at each other like are you kidding?!! And yes I go to my dads to watch WD. Ha! Good bonding time. What you see Python. What you hear .22 semi auto.

Well...The show was okay, but it seems to be heading in the direction of HBO's "Soprano's". It will have to really turn around in the fall to keep us on board too.

One things for sure, I'm NOT going to watch Mad Men!!! After that Barrage of commercials last night, I'm not even close to being interested in that show now.

Sorry for the negative post, but after the 800.000 commercials last night, I'm ready to just watch the box set when it's released on DVD someday.

That and the Team-G didn't get as much use last night either.:grumpy:

As a fan of the comic books I like to see this alternate universe. Yeah there was no all out war but there were some great scenes including the one with Milton and Andrea. She could have grabbed the pliers sooner yes, but then you may have missed the interaction she was having with Milton. They just used some liscence with that scene so that you could focus on the characters. Yes I know in real life it would have been easier to grab the pliers and she should have continued to do so but are we really that focused on things being super realistic in a show where the dead walk? And as far as the casing hitting the ground, yeah a gaff, as was Andrea's reference on knowing how to use a safety. Brings to mind the first episode where rick told a deputy to disengage the safety on his Glock, they even went so far as having the Deputy move his finger on the Glock and make a click sound. I am still looking for that safety on my Glock!

But in the end it is the interaction with the characters. In any zombie scenario it is the living that are the greatest threat. If you know the comic books we have more societies to interact with, cannibals, mullet scientists and other cool characters. The show hasn't jumped the shark yet. It just may not have gone in the direction you wanted at the time.

On another note if I was Carl I would have shot the kid too. He wasn't putting the gun down and had his finger too near the trigger. He could have swung the gun around at any moment. And he gave the ultimate F-U to his dad when he dropped the badge. This is the first time I have enjoyed Carl's character during the season.

I am also interested to see the integration of Tyrese. He will add some new direction to the show, and some conflict to Rick as we have already seen he is not afraid to speak his mind. There are a lot of new people added to the list of potential zombie victims as well.

On a final note, I doubt they will drop Daryl any time soon. His evolution as a character is not anywhere near complete. Andrea was pretty much to the end of her story, but I was sad to see Milton die. I guess he was just too tied to Woodbury.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to the gun hitting the concrete. But, the shot was no where near right or loud enough, I was waiting for something to really break the long silence. Especially from that small a room.

Andrea....safety, not going there.

I'm guessing the governor and his remaining men will rally a new group of supporters, bigger and more ruthless. Rick's group is bigger now too. This epsiode was just a small battle while the imminent war is still coming.

All in all though, the episode was pretty mediocre for a finale. Luckily I had a new episode of "Game of Thrones" to watch aftereard. That show rarely disappoints, it has been by far replaced "The Walking Dead" for me for must-see tv.

I'm still not sure what to think about that episode. It wasn't predictable, but it was disappointing as a season ender.

Disappointing as a season ender!!! Another season for the prison? Why didn't they clean out the food stocks at Woodberry or just take over the town? Killing off Andrea was a bit retarded. Frankly, glad  Game of Thrones :thumbup:Came on!!!

That's what I thought too and then figured maybe they were trying to replicate the sound of the revolver hitting the ground after she ended her life and her hand dropped to the ground. And why did Andrea say she knew how to work the safety? Was it just reassurance or was it a screw up since revolvers don't have safeties  Rick has always carried the revolver and she'd have known that

All right, guys, all the things about the safety and Andrea, it's a joke. When she was protecting her sister's corpse in seasons 1, she pointed the gun at Rick when he approached her. She had the safety on that time since she didn't know how to work a gun, and Rick was the one who pointed it out after she'd calmed down.

A good way to end her life cinematically, with some light-hearted nostalgia.

Nah, he gets wounded by several and eaten by the walkers. Nobody has the "kill shot".

whoah, dude, come on. spoiler alert? the episode hasn't even aired yet. :p I mean, it sounds like you're sure of what happens

Nah, no spoiler, just pure speculation. IN fact, I did have it all typed and ready to go as a consideration that the Governor would somehow get out of the episode alive, to pop up later, but I really didn't think they would do that to us. But they did.:grumpy:

Man, at this point, I wish your original prediction did happen, as contrived as that may have been. I just hate seeing him get away with his sidekicks. Obviously he's boiling, his sidekicks are unsure of what the heck to do, the prison camp just got a lot of new members--way too much stuff I don't want to wait half a year for!

I can't wait until October! I think I might start watching Madmen on AMC. Has anyone ever seen that show before? It sounds like it is popular.... I might give it a go =-) Nothing can replace TWD. Ever!
