WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: GEC Outlaw Jack #76

Rick's pictures are why I like photos/pictures better than scans. There is actually warmth in the pictures and the contrast of the leaf and wood really highlight the knives.

Very nice Rick.

I agree, Rick's photos have always been some of the most warm, colorful and inviting photos to view.

I think most use scans for ease of capturing pure detail though, as Jake mentioned :)

Ah heck, Rick your darn pics just made me pull the trigger... Looks I'll be the proud owner of Natural Stag #24, thanks man! ;)

That's a good point Kevin. Of course, scanning enhances language skills too. While making the few scans I made yesterday, I could have given a rather colorful language lectrue to whoever (or is it whomever) was around. Some words/terms were quite nautical.

Haha! I know, I found it quite challenging too. Its not as easy as Jake and Charlie make it look :)

I tried a couple scans, and saw early on what road I was traveling down. Fortunately I pulled over and ended that journey before the air got blue.

I tried a new background on the box lid. Failure, but Im posting anyhow.

It looks the same to me. The krackajack makes me smile.

It looks the same to me too.

I took this direct sunlight cell pic earlier but forgot to post is. Maybe it helps to compare for you Mike.

Here is one in the shade similar to your photos?

And here is me happy as a little kid that I got the springs so flush with perfect blade action :)

This knife is really grabbing a hold of me and I can't believe how much I missed a nice smaller pen blade all the years I carried a single blade.

This really is a one of a kind GEC.

Kevin

Rut Roh, Shaggy. I spy a band-aid on that pinkie. I trust it isn't from your new knife.

Dangnet this thread made me buy copperhead jig bone one. I admit rootbeer was great too but was soldout from shop I do business... I wonder if they do 3½ or 3 7/8 barlow next?

Kevin, that blade etch freaked me out for a moment, before I realized that those are reflections between the blade and scanner plate :D

And like thejamppa, you guys forced me to place an order once again. These beauties are irresistible.

OH yeah, that's sweet! I can't wait to get my Ole Jack, I have a feeling it's gonna get a lot of pocket time and my Schatt is going to be bummed :D

Frank, unfortunately it was from my new knife. Still with the factory edge I lost respect for the edge and I got a little careless. They weren't sharp enough to run across my finger and cut me but they sure were sharp enough when the clip blade wedged my finger into the pen blade. OUCH. Lesson learned. No being careless.

:o
