Another note to be aware of, and an issue I ran into recently, is that fact that his sales thread states the item will only be insured for $100 and any extra costs the buyer more. It is still the seller's responsibility to get the sold item to the buyer, so only insuring for less the 1/2 of the value of the knife is simply stating that he does not want to pay the extra $$ to fully insure it. This alone would have me skip this thread.
I had a seller claim recently "I boxed it up and did everything that I could to do, if it gets lost then it is not my fault". That item (thankfully) arrived, but in a thin, ripped envelope (which is far from doing "all that [he] was suppose to do", especially for a >$500 knife). Folks, just include the cost of insurance in your asking price (or pay them yourself, since insurance is meant to protect the seller) and avoid the headache of a potentially lost item. Paying with PP G&S and that item does not arrive to me, I am in my right to file that it never arrived, and now the seller is out the item and the payment. So, on such an expensive knife, is it worth losing so much for just a few bucks more of full insurance?
My point I was trying to make ^
