For sure, every sentence he wrote has reasons to be concerned buying from him. Alarms going off everywhere. On a side note, welcome to BF Okie.

That's because not enough people spend time in this sub-forum learning what all of that really means and what the ramifications can be....

The member in question here is nothing more than a knife flipper.
Whether that's an issue or not is personal, but he simply does not care about any other aspect than to buy from A and flip to B.....that mentality always leads to issues....

I don't think you can get banned for that, nor should you be. There are plenty of resources that members can use to figure out who someone is and whether they want to deal with them or not.

If you still want to buy a knife from a "catch and release" knife flipper who takes PP F&F ONLY, then enjoy.....

^ I'm guessing that quite possibly, you didn't read all the facts to this situation, JR? Please re-read ALL the facts of what this person attempted to do, in the transaction involving he and the OP.

1. Purchased his BNIB knife on IG.
2. Claimed over a week later that the knife was damaged.
3. Filed a PayPal dispute claiming the OP sold him a damaged knife.
4. Tried to pull a fast sneaky one & list the OP's knife here, stating the knife is in "MINT CONDITION!"
5. Got busted red handed by the OP & exposed by this GBU thread.
6. Hasn't been back to defend himself, since his one & only lame, pathetic attempted excuse.

"Nothing more than a knife flipper?" :rolleyes: I disagree! The PayPal F&F factor, IMO, is at the bottom of this POS' transgressions! This person doesn't deserve to have any type of membership on this forum, after this! This scammer, SHOULD be banned!!!
 
Thank you for your dilligence OP, another one added to the list.

I say run him up the flag pole with PayPal and at least cause him the inconvenience of having to explain himself to them. Seems like this should be enough to drop the Ban Hammer. In either case this guy will find other avenues to scam even if it's signing up for a new account under a different name.

After seeing his sales thread do you really think more information would be needed? Pretty sure that would be enough for most of us to stay away. For me the F&F demand is plenty. The shipping BS is icing on the cake.
Red flags abound.

I read every post JLS, thing is, there are all kinds of knife flippers on this (and every) forum.
It's up to us to inform ourselves, look at the terms, and make a decision.
There is no rule against buying/selling being the only thing you do on BF.

He dropped the PP dispute.
That tells me something, because we all know he would have won it.

Ya, he got caught trying to return a knife he didn't want, maybe thought would be hard to sell....

The knife is by all accounts mint, so his add on BF is correct.

I see nothing here that isn't part of a flippers way of doing things....
We have no rule for how PP is used.

I am not sure if this all adds up to being "banned" that's all.
 
He also tried to return the knife after having it a week saying the seller was dishonest by not telling him the knife was scratched up.
Sounds like a thief to me and I'd like to see him gone. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Sorry Keith, I wasn't trying to be difficult....

To sum it all up, a guy who does nothing on BF except buy/sell "catch and release" knives with terms that include ONLY PP F&F isn't going to last long, and anyone that would buy a knife under those terms from someone like that should know better by now.

Trying to expose and ban all these people is like fighting the dandelions right now, impossible!!!

Read/think/buy....
 
I hear what your saying now I agree the buyer was and is not a contributor to the site what gets me is why Simone like him isn't banded regardless of flipping he was shady no questions asked

from what I understood from his post, he has re-blasted the handles.
To be exact, he said: "Please note that I'm not passing this as new. It has been re-sharpen and the handle bead blasted".

this might explain the word "mint" in the sale thread...

I just noticed that his sales threads for those knives have been cleaned up. I am interested to see if anyone will buy a knife from him with his limited history and F&F only....
 
Jr88fan, do you not see what is going on? This is an obvious scam. No problem with flipping but this is way beyond that. People like this are why I don't buy second hand. The 1% has me wary of the other 99%. I will pay more from a reputable dealer than have to worry. I also don't sell anything. I'd rather give what I don't want to friends rather than deal with someone like this.
 
I have dealt with him in the past, F&F, and was totally happy...I think this is all a misunderstanding snowballed out of control mainly due to lack of an explanation on his part...
