A great example of why I will no longer ship overseas 2 BF user "Savic" is having Paypal charges reversed claiming that he has yet to received the package. If this is the case and a package was not received Since i was shipping International, we agreed via email (which I can provide) I will not assume any responsibility if the package was lost stolen or seized by customs. I have provided Andrey with not only a tracking number but also a photo at the post office with the official postal stamp taken from my cell phone. Andrey still claims no photo was received and continues to reverse the $1000 charge on the Balisong he purchased. Not only have I offered to send him more photos and provided him with tracking numbers multiple times. He continues to claim otherwise. I think this whole transaction has been a scam from the beginning so fellow sellers please be aware. If anyone would like to see any of the emails or photos we have exchanged feel free to contact me as I will be more then happy to provide and post them. BEWARE OF ANDREY SAVITSY BF HANDLE SAVIC from UKRAINE SCAM ARTIST CROOK:thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

Paypal is only "reserving" the money right now. You need to get on the phone with them pronto.

Savic has only 10 posts and zero feedback. That's a bit of a red flag.

People need to educate themselves to what can go wrong. We have stickies at the head of the FEEDBACK forum list that warn against poor practice.

Agreeing in email that he responsibility is on the buyer means NOTHING to PayPal. You need to have door to door tracking. If it isn't availa ble, don't do the deal.

Do not deal with unreliable people. The nicest guy in the world needs good feedback before you do a major deal with him. How many high dollar transactions has he had?

Read what SaviC himself says in another thread: "If you agree to ship internationally by traced Express mail international for my cost - I'll take your BM47. Paypal payment with covering your fees."

Read the stickies !!!

It SHOULD mean something to PayPal. Agreeing that the risk of loss shifted to the buyer on shipment has legal consequences in all fifty states.

I will only ship international using Express now,or on the forum here ill take the gift option which makes it impossible for the buyer to reclaim the money.I had paypal/ebay customers steal from me twice now. That's enough. It was less than $200 each time, but thats a lot for me.You can contact paypal, but i doubt it will help unless tracking shows he received the item.If it does, you should prevail.I was shipping priority and the customs number is of no help.Express is the only method with actual tracking.

maybe you should post the email where he said he would not hold you responsible if the package never made it to him. also post the pictures you have here so he can see them since he said he never got them.

did you send him a link to this thread?

Why should PayPal get involved? If the buyer says he never got it and the seller can't prove otherwise then PayPal really only has one play.

Now that's not to say that gosh couldn't, or shouldn't pursue this either criminally, civilly, or both, just that PayPal would open itself up for legal action (international no less) by playing judge and jury on this stuff.

Thank you Esav, I will be doing some research prior to selling.

If anyones interested:

I will be more then happy to send the emails and photos to anyone, but I'd prefer not to post them directly onto the forums the Postal form has my address on it. Thanks all for your words and help . Sincerely, Giar

How long has this taken? It could be merely a case where the buyer is scared because he paid $1K for something.

I'm not doubting you Gosh, just asking how long has it been since you shipped because intl. can take weeks or months sometimes. Also, if you have tracking info, can't you prove that it was delivered?

i shipped 5 knives to singapore on the 28th of last month. they arrived the 5th of this month so i would say he has the knife by now.
gosh, i dont doubt what you say either but i would like to see the emails and pictures. send them to me if you would. rje196021@gmail.com

HI gosh -

Bummer -

Would it have helped to have transferred the money from Pay-pal to your checking account immediately after it was received ?

That is what I do - not sure it helps though.

Sorry to hear this guy is potentially scamming you.

best regards -

mqqn

We can't go by how long a package takes to one country as a benchmark for another. Singapore is not Ukraine.

Richard> Photos and email have been sent. In the photos Richard, It clearly shows the shipping date of 11/15/11 stamped by the post office.

Mqqn> The money was transferred into my checking account after a few days. SaviC Is is trying to have the charges reversed. As of now my paypal account is -$1016 dollars until further information is retrieved.

Jdieseljoe> No If the seller requests insurance I always do, but in this case I did not. <Arggh.

My email address is giarsun@gmail.com if anyone else would like to see any information or photos. Even if i take this as a loss, I hope this helps prevent him from repeating this scam.

... No If the seller requests insurance I always do, but in this case I did not. <Arggh.

Insurance is never the buyer's business. Insurance means nothing to the buyer, it is purely for the protection of the seller. ALWAYS get insurance and include it without saying in the price of the knife.

I am a little stunned that you did not insure a $1000 knife, insurance is to protect you as a seller. If it was the case he did not want you to insure it, I would have made him send paypal via gift option. Just my opinion though.
I hope you can get this resolved.

Gosh I am sorry to hear about this. Once again a situation like this impacts on those of us who do honest International business.

Did you use Express Mail International or Priority Mail International? Did you insure the package?

Personally I would never ship an Automatic, Balisong or Gravity Knife to another country. The possibility of an over-zeleous customs agent grabbing it is to high.

i just seen the picture gosh took of the package and he did send it. i also seen a copy of the email and from what i read andrey did agree to not hold gosh responsible if the knife never made it or if it was seized by customs.

i tried the tracking number and it was sent out from california on the 15th. i think the package is still on its way and andrey should not have reversed the payment. i hope the knife makes it and i think andrey needs to put the money back since gosh held up his end of the deal.
