Apparently you don't have any idea what I was trying to accomplish with my last post. Apparently when other people are funny, smartassed or sarcastic, they are funny, smartassed or sarcastic, when I do it, I am an asshole. Then, when I say that, I have some type of persecution complex about it. I can't win with people like you. I am damned if I do and damned if I don't and ultimately, people like you are a source of my frustration more than any other. I can't wave my hand and say, "I like being funny" because someone like you is going to come in and try to smear it as being some sort of B.S. "act." I generally get the double standard thing in here, "Captain Obvious" was an attempt at self-depracating humor on my part because I know I come across as abrasive sometimes. Again, apparently, you missed that. If someone calls me abrasive, this is not name calling, if I answer it with self-depracating humor, I'm still the bad guy, then I am a "martyr" for saying I'm the bad guy.

Perhaps the mature, responsible move would be to either ignore the remark or take it to PM and not turn ANOTHER thread into a flame war.

Well, sorry to hear it. And totally puzzled. If I read your post correctly, it seems as though you don't want to post any photos of your trips (which is totally fine - I absolutely appreciate the importance of privacy) but also feel that those who do regularly post such photos are somehow cliquish.

Anyway, post or don't, but don't begrudge others for doing so, or for having a sense of community.

Unbelievable. I'm not sure if it is hilariously funny or incredibly sad that the same dysfunctional aspects of W&SS that are the subject of this discussion are now being flagrantly displayed in the same thread. I think it is the latter, if it is turning good people like Kev off from being here.
 
Is there some clique I should join so I can feel special and included? I haven't seen any, but I don't want to be left out. Please tell me what to do: I'm so confused by it all.
 
I doubt if it is that, perhaps it is the wearing of carpenter's pencil sharpeners around the neck of some members like so many bear claws...

I think it's pretty funny too, when the last four respondents before you were two attention whores, and two people either intentionally misconstruing someone's words, or not having kindergarten level reading comprehension.
You(those) people don't need to be pretending that you're interested in doing something about the problems of this forum, when YOU ARE the perfect example of what's wrong with it.

You guys are putting us on right? This is FAR too good to be improvised. I also find it ironic that the most vicious flame wars happen amongst the members with the highest post counts... do we become intolerant of eachother over time?

For the record, I like Don, and have talked to him several times through email, and learned alot from him. He might seem a bit rough around the edges, but I get him I guess... Hes never been nothing but great, online, and off...

Not everyone is gonna see eye to eye. The true measure of a man is showing dicipline, and restraint IMO. :thumbup:
