The New Years Day dinner went well this year.
I already posted the menu, so here are a few photos.
The rocks and grater are Himalayan Rock Salt and a salt grater.

It's -32 C this morning, wood furnace is hungry. Cleaning up the house after the newyears gathering, and then will spend the afternoon out on the crosscountry ski trail. There is something wonderful and rejuvenating about being out in this kind arctic air with the bright warm sun radiating out of the icy blue sky.

I spent way too much money >_< I finished remodeling my whole downstairs though, the last thing i needed was a new couch, so 800$ later and iv'e got myself the perfect leather sectional for my livingroom. Time for me to buckle down for the next few months and pay off all the debt I just incurred re-doing my whole downstairs.

Come celebrate my B'Day with me at.
The Hour Bar
1193 Main Street
West Warwick, RI

Jan. 9, 2010 from 9:30 PM till 1:00AM

The Lightnin' Brothers band will be playing. It's The BBBBB Beaver's band.

Its getting cold here in this part of the USA. I been working on the wood out side and cleaning up the drive for the wife and son. I am down to 3 ricks of wood now. I am planning to build a woodshed for all my wood this coming Sumner. My son-in-law is a new home builder and will be helping me with the project. It will be great not have to fight with all the snow getting on the wood before I bringing in.

I been out in the shop a little this week. But not as much as I would like to be. This is my time of year when I get a break from the knife business as long as ordering are up to date. And happy birthday to you IG. I had one back in December 23. most of my friends remembered it. I guests we all are getting old and forget at times. I hope you good folks are having a outstanding day in your neck of the woods. God bless and have blessed one. :)

Not sure I qualify as a "great knife maker" since I am new to this fantastic forum, but I thought I would respond.....while I finish the built-in bookshelves I promised my wife for our den, I will be day-dreaming about being in my shop with steel and sparks. Hope you all have a blessed weekend....and take some time to thank God for your knife making talents.

I have no talent and I'm too stupid to know when to quit :D

Gotta blue some fittings and finish up a blade to hopefully sell.

Work on making some stuff up for the WIP I started.

Saturday, my girlfriends coming over. Sunday, working on my rolling mill, finishing the rewiring of an old welder, starting on a firestorm damascus fighting knife for myself, and battling the ever cold winter shop.

Happy B-day George!

Saturday medieval music gig in Rochester, hopefully sell some stuff while I'm there. Sunday shop time. Got two daggers and 5 fencing swords to finish. If I can't get to my shop in Ithaca I will finish setting up my new toy lathe in the basement (24 inch bed SouthBend)
