Well...It's Friday...

You may be partially right but do you have an Asp? Otherwise you may be disqualified!

Yeah, it's an impractical one for me at this point, but damn I want a tapered 5/32 Asp with the same handle config as my Raptor so bad it aches!

The Mighty Bushfinger does not fear the Asp :D

Talking as a general purpose outdoor knife... Asp looks better for things I prefer to use guns for:p

I've never held both so I can't comment too much on it. But based on looks, the Asp could shank the bushfinger in the neck.

Not after the bushfinger lops it's fingers off duder .....that's how it got its name

Sorry S, but that is still the Bushfinger :p

Recluse and Ladyfinger tied for 2. :D

My favorites are broken into two groups...favorite knives, and favorite knives I can carry without getting thrown in jail for simply carrying a knife. The Bushfinger is awesome, and the REcluse I carry regularly is a favorite to be sure. Plus I can usually be assured of no trouble carrying the Recluse out here where I live, but with the technicality of state laws here, I carry the Raptor in town a lot. Sometimes the EDK... that would happen more had it a thicker blade...but I digress. Remove laws and regulations from the equation, and I would just carry my Woodsman daily, paired with a 3FKarda...and in an apocalyptic world, teamed with a Bishop :D

Today, I climbed up a mountain, almost died, then consumed a large quantity of rum. I came to the conclusion today that the Hiking Buddy is the perfect knife, therefore you are all wrong.

The Hiking Buddy is awesome. I have owned three looking for the perfect steel thickness and handle, a full tang 1/8 scandi, a full tang 5/32 convex, and a 1/8 SFT convex. I have decided the next will be 5/32 convex and tapered...if I don't see a 5/32 convex SFT I can't resist first.... :)

Joe,
I am curious if you have ever used a Filipino Barong? I have a couple I like and keep looking at the FB 12" thinking that might be similar enough to be my full tang barong that I have been wanting.

The barong is my favorite of the indigenous chopper designs, and I like the profile, weight distribution, and counterbalance of Andy's two-position handle better than the barongs I have used.

Duder,

Does Andy keep machetes in stock? I have a buddy that loves my Camp Knife and wants a big Fiddleback, but does not want to spend that much $$$.
