Whacha Been Up To......

Been studying these for a bit. Very cool. Particularly like the shot showing the center welt. I'd sure like to see a pic of this on if you got it. either in the back pocket as you mentioned or small of the back (SOB) carry like I originally thought. Very Very nice work. Like I said I keep coming back and looking at these photos.
sorry Dave, the knives got shipped away yesterday. Best I can do is direct you to this thread; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/a-pair-of-throwing-knives.1871961/
you might be able to track them down at Blade, if you're going

Well needed a little practice run here. Been away from leather for a short bit , had a lot going but all good.

Built this one up for a Carothers HDFK knife.

This one is 10-12oz chestnut w&c skirting leather. Did a little antique gel and coated with Bag-kote after conditioning oils.

Next up is a REK lg ember sheath 😉👍👍

Stunning just stunning!

got these twelve dagger sheaths glued up. One more round with the drill presses and I can breathe a sigh of relief- from that point forward the potential for catastrophic failures diminishes substantially

Bill, this has to be one of my favorite looking sheaths you’ve posted. Very well done, sir!!

Got this nifty small fixed blade in, it came with a kydex sheath that has really good retention, but as usual it has a belt clip, so vertical it puts the handle up into your ribs, horizontal was ok but I would like more retention when carrying things that way.

So, the fix? made a small adapter belt loop, using some hardware I bought for just such an occasion. The bottom area that is screwed to the kydex is also glued together so it's a solid piece of leather there. The upper section I trimmed to suit the angles the sheath had, so one side has the curve a little lower than the other. And you can see that now the top of the handle is at a more reasonable height and carries a lot nicer this way.

Here's some photos of the belt loop and knife

Blade is about 3 3/4" long with an overall length almost 8"

Even a little thing like that does take time when you're retro fitting something ;) but this worked out pretty nice if I do say so myself. :)
