Whacha Been Up To......

In post #2304 that has an antique gel applied then conditioned in with Skidmores , then buffed in with their bees wax.

In post #2310
I used 100% neatsfoot oil when leather was hot, just a very light coat. Then conditioned immediately with skidmores. Then buffed in their bees wax. I’ll take some more pics of these today in daylight.
When ya say bees wax ya mean their chap wax?

No , their premium bee’s wax waterproofing. Stuff works great , I warm the leather by placing in the sun, then apply. Or I pre apply the wax then warm the sheath to like 80-90° for a few minutes or vise versa.

duramax duramax those look quite rugged, no nonsense kind of sheath! very well done sir!

I picked up some more Tiger thread in some different colours, this brighter green when it arrived I thought, oh this is too bright :( but after using it last night on this sheath, I like the contrast it gave ;)

Edited to add

Had a request to make 5 slip sheaths for some Swiss Army Recruit folders and tied short lanyards on each. Making multiples isn’t something that I have done before but I took it step by step and while a long day it worked out well

Pick a sheath, any sheath....;)

A horizontal adapter for Bradford Guardian 3 kydex sheath

Two copper head fasteners to the kydex sheath, two snaps above it so when you wrap the leather around the sheath and your belt, you snap it down and it holds very well, and you can unsnap and remove it without having to undo your belt, same with putting it back onto your belt

that stitching there took over 15 hours of time, and consumed over 180 feet of thread

Partner,
I really think you may have reached the point where a sewing machine would make a lot of sense. Fifteen hours of hand sewing is torture of the highest order. Believe me, I know.
