Whacha Been Up To......

Hi John I have one of those 16 oz craftool maul I agree its large and I think the 32 oz is the same size If your kids have been using the BKs they might have a hard time adjusting to the Craftool
I thought I wasted my money but to my surprise its held up so far and I've gotten use to the size with no problem swinging it with decent stamping results one day I'll spring for a BK
I was wondering about that, I figured the 32oz had to be the same size just filled different, otherwise it'd be like swinging a coffee can!

Go western, have ya tried beaver tail for your inlay yet?

You know, Dave, I tried to source beaver tail…with no luck. Can you believe that?! A Canadian that cannot source beaver tail. 🤦‍♂️ 🤣😂

I’m gonna try stingray next. I have a few really nice examples. :)

Thank you for your always very kind and reassuring comment to me. Much appreciated.

Thanks Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery !

Very nice indeed. Next time think on re stamping your camo border after the basket stamping. It'll take only a couple of minutes and it cleans it up a lot. Great work.
Thanks! That means a lot coming from the legend!
I actually did the basket weaving first, then the border, but I’ll try it the other way around next time.

That is funny! I had a source but no mas. Check The Leather Guy. They have it. You bet my friend.

That’s actually the “correct” way. I found that doing it that way took a lot more time for me and wasn’t as clean either. So I went to doing the border first and then the basket. I will sometimes if needed come back and restamp the border if my basket stamping bled over into the border stamp some. Thats what I was suggesting as it looked like ya had a lil bleed over but not much. I’ve found that if ya restamp a border stamp here or there it looks bad. So if I need to do some I do allof the border stamps. Keeps it more uniform. Legend, I dunno, I just make stuff.

Some gifts on their way to Chicago.
And the reason I’m not posting so much….

It started with a long ago request for a dog collar.
(Wait for them to give up and forget then it’s a surprise)
Then since the dog is “treat trained” I made the treat pouch for the owner.
So I couldn’t send those two gifts and leave out the hubby & daughter LOL

Besides retiring (and not being chained to a computer all day) and leaving the big city for the ‘burbs….
I got a pool table!
Once the cover comes off I’m lost for hours.
Rest Ye Merry!
Dang great to see ya around again my friend! Great work. For those that don’t know Ebbtide makes the finest cue stick cases on the planet!

Can one of you hand stitchers help me out please. No matter what I do I cannot get the inside stitches of my project to look correct. I used a diamond chisel on this wallet and punched from the outside toward the inside. I punched completely through. I do my best to keep the chisel straight up and down. I stitch each hole the same way, I follow the method shown here Hand Stitching around the 3:30 mark. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.
