This is amazing work, you've really kicked it into hyperdrive these past few months and I'm liking this partial wet forming look. Really beautiful stuff!!

navman navman I'm glad to see the stitching prong debate, it's been a recent concern of mine as well. I've found that how deeply you recess your stitching line also has an effect on their final aesthetic. The more shallow the grooved line, the longer the stitch will appear.

Shop has been slow going but I hope to finish these today,

Looking good my friend.....👍👍👍. Stick my knife in and snap one please😉

J jfk1110 , can you post that picture again of your kwaiken/puukko knife with the integrated scabbard? Maybe the group can put their minds together and figure out how to make a frog for it. That taper is definitely tricky, plus the fact that the whole thing splits in half... but where there's a will there's a way :)

Going to try to post some photos again, hasn't worked for me since the upgrade:

Spark Spark , the above is what I was referencing in the "migration issue" thread. The pics just show varying colored vertical bars for me.

I made this Sonoran Hunter and Sonoran Skinner a while back:

My thought was always to sell them as a set, but I was willing to split them up if need be as each would stand on its own too:

Each had its own Slotted Sheath:

They were kind of high end so took a lil bit of time for them to sell but they did sell as a set. Years ago when I made a lot of these sets I would often sell them with what I called a Pack Pac. Since they are larger knives the idea was they could be carried in a pack until needed if so desired. Basically a dual sheath for the pack. My first attempt didn't work. It had been so long (ten years maybe) since I had made one I was misinterpreting my pattern. When wet molding the Skinner it went right through the bottom including the welt and into my hand a lil bit. Figured out what the problem was and started over. Here we go:

This is a substantial piece made from one layer of 8/10 oz, a welt of 10/12 oz, the sheath top of 10/12 oz and then a 3 /4 oz water buffalo overlay. Since the individual sheaths were from chestnut 10/12 oz Wicket and Craig saddle skirting I wanted to incorporate that in the Pack Pac too.

The Pack Pac stays closed with a single antique brass Sam Browne stud. The 8/10 oz russet Wicket and Craig saddle skirting is reversed. so it becomes the leather lining of the Pack Pac:

Just simple, substantial leather:

I also finished off that batch of blades I was working on and got them shipped off to heat treat. Stamping my maker's mark was the last job:

Nichole, my wife, has kinda got into making home made pizzas. They're great so we've kinda looking around for a pizza cutter. Found these on a woodworking site. They rock. Blade was already made I just put some elk scales on it. I've done four now they've been so popular with family:
