What’s Your Favorite LARGE EDC Folder? Need Suggestions for 4” Blades….

I tried to love the ZT0452CF for a few years because it's such a cool looking design. Unfortunately, even after thinning the edge as much as I could, it was never a decent cutting tool. Too thick. I sold it. But you can't beat the looks and it fires fast!
You're right... it needs thinning behind the edge, but it's a beast with great action!

And they sure are pretty!!
I want one of those anodized ones from USAMadeBlade. I just can’t get over the price tag… I always think about ZTs, and say, “Those are kinda cool,” and then I think about what kind of WE, Kizer or Real Steel I could buy with the same money and I forget ZT.

I've got a pair of ZT knives right now, and their quality is top-notch!
(0609, and 0990)
But one of those 0452s would sure be a worthwhile addition to my pile of knives...

Inexpensive option would be the Kizer Sheepdog XL, but it's a serious chunker at just over 9 oz. $99 in 154cm and G10.

What's your price range? If you're looking for a top flight 4" plus carry, go with a Shirogorov 111. In a more budget friendly offering, I just got an email on the Maxace goliath Bowie.

I'm a short stout guy and relate to short stout strong folders - at only 3.5" blade length the Cold Steel AD-10 is about my favorite ... that's ergonomic and has the TriAD lock are bonuses.

All good suggestions this far but "large" doesn't always mean blade length - unless you want it to because it's your money and your choice.

A cool big folder that is really hard to find is the long discontinued Benchmade Onslaught (not the small one!). It was designed by the late, great Bob Lum. I think it's #1 on the list of knives they should bring back to the lineup. It's a bit over 4" in blade length, though. Like Cold Steel XL big. 😁

Man I remember the Skirmish! That thing was so cool. It's passed into the OLD SKOOL TACTICOOL realm now.

I carried a Spyderco Endura for 10 or 15 years.
I am getting a Spyderco Resilience Lightweight, C142PBL, as soon as they're available.
If you want a superb, classy 4+ inch knife I just bought a MASERIN SOLAR #MAS405 at 4.13 inches. Best EDC I have owned. Shaving sharp, great looking, excellent construction, and a better flipper I have never tried. I paid $210 but most places are $225 or more. I cannot reccomend enough!
