What are you watching & why? (splain)

I watched a movie last night that, for lack of a more suitable descriptor, I found to be contemplative. It's called Train Dreams, which is based on a novella of the same name.

I think many here might find it boring, so I hesitate to recommend it. However, I found it compelling and strangely deep, and the PNW setting just added to the appeal for me.

I saw it. I thought it was an interesting take on a man's life.

I watched The Wind (2018) earlier & it was just kind of sad, not scary at all for what was supposed to be a horror story. Before that, I watched The Burrowers (2008) & that really hit my western horror creature feature nerve. If you're into that genre, I would highly recommend it.

Currently watching The Man Who Killed Hitler & Then The Bigfoot (2018). The title sounded so hilarious it intrigued me. I was expecting some B movie but to my surprise, the leading role is nonother than Sam Elliot!
I like everything he does. Seems interesting so far. It's on HULU in case you're interested.

Finally got around to watching "F1" last night. Totally fun, and a reminder that not every movie needs to beat you over the head with social messaging, or try to be more clever than it really is. Sometimes a movie can just be damn fun, nothing more, and that's a good thing.

Thank you for your social messaging and commentary.

🤣

I've been semi-binge-watching Goliath for the past two weeks. I really like Billy Bob, even though it seems like he plays the same character in everything he does. He does it well though. I'm on the final season now. I'm not normally into court dramas but the character development in this series really makes you relate to them.
