What are you watching & why? (splain)

I'm going to watch these today. HBO/Max has all 4 movies available. I've never seen them but heard good things about the Wick movies.
One question: Is the pup killing graphic? That's why I haven't watched it yet. I know it's "make believe" but I hate seeing animals tortured or suffering in films.
It's mostly offscreen. But that doesn't make it better. They all deserved what they got.

Start at the first one and stop at the first one.

If you are a big fan of watching really well made foreign language productions, there is a real gem currently on Netflix: The Leopard (il gattopardo) which is based on an iconic Italian novel, not to be mistaken with the older 60's movie of the same story. This 6 part limited series is about an aristocratic family in Sicily when the island is going through unification conflicts in 1860 with the mainland Italy. I find it to be a masterfully acted and executed, beautifully shot period drama.

I watch foreign language movies/series in its native language with subtitles which may not be for everyone as I think that watching a dubbed version takes away many ingredients from the original, but then again it is not for everyone. I very highly recommend The Leopard to the like minded fans 😊

So, I'm guessing all the sequels are crap. Gotcha.
The other 3 movies have a somewhat different tone, but I found them enjoyable enough.

While the first movie was a little darker/more serious, about retribution, the following movies dive into the ‘underground world of assassins’, and are basically popcorn action shoot ‘em ups.
