What are you watching & why? (splain)

I cajoled the Better Half into watching a classic John Woo flick last night, and tonight I'm gonna pay for it:

Lord, grant me the strength booze to get through this.

Admission: I watched this probably 20 years ago now, and it wasn't booze that got me through it.

It's another Jason Statham day for me. I watched Mechanic: Resurrection (2016) & now I'm watching Safe (2012). Excellent storylines, tension, action & as usual beautifully choreographed fight scenes. I think this guy is my new favorite action hero.

I'm watching "The Beauty" on Hulu. It's a psychological/sci-fi/body horror. I read good things about it. It looks like it will be pretty good. I'm only 22min into the first episode. Plus, I'm trying to soak in as much Hulu as I can before my promo ends for $6.99 a month & I cancel. Lol

It becomes a writing trainwreck pretty quickly once the novelty of the premise runs out. Just beware. Honestly I would recommend stopping after episode 7.

I just got done watching Sling Blade. It's very hard to find this streaming, but I found it on a new site called Red Coral Universe. It's one of my favorite movies.
Just put the corned beef in the oven & it should be ready in about 5-6 hrs. This is the first time I'm making it. Hope it comes out good! 🤞🏼
Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! ☘️

I started watching the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters series with Kurt Russell and his son. Like with any "monster" flick, you have to suspend your disbelief for a wee bit. It's been fun though.

I've been watching Kurt Russell in movies my entire life and it's always a pleasant piece of nostalgia to see him at work.

I guess he's in a new show..."The Madison" on Paramount+. I haven't read the reviews, but I imagine it's more Taylor Sheridan fluff. (I hope it's better than average...might check it out at some point.)

My opinion of most (not all) of Taylor Sheridan's stuff is that they are soap operas, but written for men. (just an opinion)

I don't know anything about The Madison. If you end up checking it out and it's any good, I might give it a gander.
