What are your dirty little knife secrets

This is really fun to read, so I' ll post some more of mine:

I also don' t trust the Axis lock, you could say I' m paranoid about the Omega springs breaking, even though none of mine (And I' ve owned quite a few) ever did.

I don' t like coated blades, or atleast I don' t like black coated blades.
In general I' m not a fan of very tactical looking knives.

I don' t like combo edges, actually I don' t like any kind of serrations on my knives.

I never sharpen until I can split hair, shaving sharp does it for me

I actually do not have an overwhelming desire to buy a new knife.

I look at my current collection, and think that I have all my bases covered.

It's a strange feeling.

I have a box...and I mean a big rubbermaid container full of useless junk Budk knives and swords...

Used to throw a lot. Have a log in my basement I used for a target.

- All my kitchen knives are dull. My wife has complained for years that I'll get out my Buck 110 or my big ol' Stockman for kitchen work, but her knives won't cut anything.

Because when I sharpened them my wife complained our kitchen knives were too sharp, I stopped doing that. It is her kitchen, so I must respect her preferences. However, on occasions when I have to cut up foodstuff, I will get out my Buck 110 or whatnot because I likem sharp. So everybody's happy :D .

That is the weirdest thing I have ever even heard of....

:D

I don't like a LOT of customs.

I only really carry and use five knives (three sebbies, one SNG, and one Milie.)

I really like small fixed blades... But also carry a slippie with them.

I sold evey XM I had because I didn't have the heart to beat on them.

I love a thin edge, but had not reprofiled any new to me knives in a looooong time. (Hate the thought of setting the edge pro up.. Even know it's not bad at all. It's just like getting ready to mow the yard. Just the thought of it makes me not want to do it, but after it's started it's not that bad at all!)

I never had to use a knife for "hard use."

I like full mall ninja'ed knives like my DGG DC SNG. :D

I like slippies... Yes every high quality one I have ever seen.. I like.

I carry in my back right pocket.

I have over $150 in Iphone games...

I never look at the pron in the C**E Morrow posts

I like serrations!

I don't own any nikes or any type of sport shoe

I wish I had a buck 110, not really to use.. Just to have.

I really really like my saber ground ZDP delica for a knock around the house PJ knife.

That's about it for now I guess :D

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. I can't imagine that feeling. I'm so sorry.

During one short period of my life, I did not have a Sebenza in my collection.

Life does have it's ups and downs. :o

(1) i buy knives as gifts, then get tempted to keep them and buy the person a card
(2) i try to fight the urge to throw knives NOT INTENDED for throwing, but it rarely works
(3) if i look at (virtually) anything for more than 3 seconds, it's because i'm wondering if i could stab all the way through it.

I'm to cheap to shuck out the bucks to buy a good Benchmade or a Spyderco. They've always seemed a little overpriced.

I can't sharpen a knife well enough to cut paper yet I spend tons of money on knives.

I despise fancy "art" custom knives with weird engravings, materials, etc. In most cases I would rather take a cheap folder than get one for free.

I like "tacticool" knives, I know I would never need yo use one for the intended purpose but I just find them nice looking.

And thats it :D

My dirty secret is my continuing guilt over the purchase of my first Emerson. I now have four and the a100 is calling. I know I have a problem, but I just can't help myself.

I got in trouble when I was in preschool because I took my dad's (given to him by my grandfather) orange Camillus Air Force automatic with me. I just thought it was cool! :D

I am not a Strider fan. I tried a SNG and then sold it. I want to like Striders but I just can't get there.

I think every knife Chris Reeve makes is ridiculously overpriced, especially the Sebenza.

My FIL gives me an unusual or expensive slipjoint for Christmas every year and they don't do a thing for me. I'm just not into non-locking knives.

I'm not a great sharpener considering how many hours I've spent doing it.

I own a Busse but it isn't my favorite fixed blade.

I take kind of a sick pride in all of the accidentally self-inflicted knife scars on my hands.

I have cheap knives I didn't really like hidden in drawers and cabinets all around the house...just in case.

Great thread, btw.
