What Buck Do You Have on Order? Or in the Mail?

I'm sorry to hear that your blade wasn't up to snuff. I'm sure Buck would make it right for you, if you wanted to send it in. It might be too late to return it, but the warranty lasts forever. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I've got two or three sentimental knives I'd like to send in for SPA. Maybe I'll finally get around to sending them in and send the TRX with them to get the bevels evened out.

I hate to be picky about the bevels, but when I'm paying a premium for a higher end steel, I don't want to fight the factory bevel when sharpening like I've had to with my mini deploy.

The 112 Ranger Sport is back in stock after quite an absence and I immediately grabbed one.

Glad I didn't end up buying one for resale prices. I had email buck customer service recently and they said the fancy steel blades were holding up the show for the sport model.

Anyways, I just wanted to point out that they are back in stock! One is soon to be on its way to SW Pennsylvania!

A brass 705 and a stag 702 are headed my way! Long live the 700's!

PS - my usual suit-pocket 704 made it past courthouse security yesterday with a suppressed smile from the police officer manning the metal detector when he saw me place it in the bowl with my keys. I'm pretty certain anything larger or anything with a pocket clip would have had to stay in the car with the pistol and cell phone.

PPS - why would they post QR codes on the wall for information in a building where you aren't allowed to have a cell phone to look them up?

Alaska Guide 110. Cabelas has a sale going on, AND it stacks with 10% off for Cabelas Club members, AND I had some points to cash in. I'm going to call it my "3 buck Buck." Kinda rolls off the tongue better than my "2 dollar and 87 cents Buck."

The only downer is that there weren't any in stock at my local shop, so I had to opt for in-store delivery. I would have preferred to handle it first, and walk out without returning a few days later. Not a super strong preference, mind. I order plenty of Bucks sight unseen, but I don't want to get sucked into Cabelas knife aisle/counter again.

Found this in a Black Friday deal. Looks like I got the last one. (Didn't really want to spend money on a knife this time of year, but oh well.) (Seller's picture.)

I don’t have anything on order myself but my wife ordered me a Buck 112 from the Custom Shop.

I told her all of the features I want but I asked her to choose the handle material excluding the ones I already have.

That way I know what I’m getting but it’s still a surprise.

She did the same thing for me two years ago and she chose Ironwood that time.

Oh, what a great idea!

I’d love to see a picture of your custom 112 with ironwood scales! 🙏🏻

Here you go, Lance. The Ironwood has darkened some since I received it but this picture shows its current color.

That’s stunning Rick! I’ve considered that same configuration time and time again, with the ironwood and NS bolsters. Your pictures just moved it up to the top of my list. The only thing that I keep going back and forth on is finger grooves. I imagine that they would be really good for some people’s hands, but awkward for other people’s hands. Yours is BEAUTIFUL!

I couldn't help myself and made this Christmas a Buck type holiday like so many times in the past. Got a dozen of the aluminum cups 7 or 8 USA made Web Special knives and a bunch of T shirts..It really won't be a big surprise to most the family but for a select few.. Merry Christmas!!
