Well, the race is on, then! LOL! Mine is coming USPS, and he dropped it off at the Post Office this morning. I have no idea which corner of the country it’s coming from.

I’m excited to give it a fair shake. But if I don’t like it for some reason, you might see a good deal on a gray one in the Exchange in a couple of months. :)

I carried a Slim Pro for years also, but a 112. I’m really liking the one handed closing of the Range Pro and Mini over the 112 Slim Pro. We’ll see if the Range Elite can sway me to the dark side with Magnacut!

Imagine a Range and Mini with that clip point blade!

It was a Copper and Clad exclusive about 8 years ago, I think. I’ve halfheartedly started watching eBay, but if I ever get serious about looking for one, I’ll probably have to start posting wanted ads on the Exchange, and in some of the Facebook groups, on the BCCI board, and watching Larry’s consignment emails.

I did email Copper and Clad this morning asking if maybe they have one that fell behind the shelves in the warehouse, or something. We’ll see what they say.

I picked up a 5160 110 on eBay in 2022 for $155. I'm still on the lookout for the white micarta with blackened 420 blade and the stag handles damasteel blade, but starting prices on those are more than I want to pay. I set my limit at $200.

I like the 5160 but it is super stiff compared to my other 110s.

Oops - FedEx dropped by today, but they didn’t leave my Ranger Elite, they left something else. My knife is in the even less capable hands of USPS, expected delivery by Wednesday. Last check it was floating around Jersey City. I think I could have driven to Idaho and back in less time.
 
I also couldn’t resist the discount. I have never owned a 55 so, I ordered one with nickel silver bolsters ironwood scales and an s35vn blade.

If anyone would could take a pic with a 55 next to a 110 I’d appreciate it.

My Range Elite has taken 2.5 days to travel 57 miles, and is currently in Queens. They claim it will be here Wednesday, also. Here’s hoping!
