What Did You Cut with Your Buck (Yesterday or Today)?

A NY steak for chow and a box from Ira Wood that sent me the reason I couldn't buy Trax's 120 OS (Old Skool). My first 119, a 119BR.

Goose, it won't be your last either :D LOL
Yeah, but I feel the heat comin' on Jim!!!!
Usually I am home when the mail comes. Of all days, not today.

The question was "How many Buck knives do you have?" Reply: "maybe just over 40".
Followed by "Probably more than a $1,000 worth of Buck knives, huh?". Reply, "yeah, I guess if ya look at 'em as being about $25 each".

This was the first time the herd has brought the inquisition.

Ah.....
take it from your fellow aflected ...
it likely wont be the last....
they will be checking credit card statements
check book entries
Even checking on that stash you think she dont know about`!!!!
it gets toughter the longer you are afflicted with the deer on your back

and it only helps a little to say they are a good investment and then only 2 times

it even gets to ware she is watching when you show them off to see if there are any New one from the last time!!!

got to go the doc comeing ..

LOL goose,

The herd all wants to see me get into trouble when one of those packages arrives.......even the mailman.....so welcome to the club  . Well to get this back on topic......I use my AG 110 to cut open a box containing a new set of blinds. The wife and I are performing a "while you were out" thing for my new grandson's room.

Cut branches of Rosemary and some flowering shrubs to make room for 100 pansies in the front garden. Trying to make it look inviting for Thanksgiving company. We just crossed over the life-line this past year from being the Thanksgiving guests to being the Thanksgiving hosts.

The bees were working the shrub flowers like it was May instead of November. When I carried the cut branches to the trash pile, they followed and continued to work the blossoms lying in the trash.

Weapon of choice for the garden work was BuckLite with black thermoplastic handle. It ain't purty but the bees didn't care much.

Skinned and butchered 2 whitetail deer.
103, 193 Alpha Rosewood (ATS-34 AWESOME), tempest, 446 Goliath (great for skinning also) , My trusty 110! Also used was an Ultrablade (buck brand)
I have to admit that the Alpha 193 with ATS-34 did stay sharper longer...
Also a touch harder to sharpen. (for me)

Skinned and butchered 2 whitetail deer....(for me)

lucky!
i cant even hint i want to go with to the father in law...!!!
and me and him get along!!!
i have even cut him out not Jest One but TWO choice from the hurd
have gone with him to set up the hanging frame , went over and helped put thogther a platform for his blind [as picky as he is !]
i have even totaly refinshed two of his deer rifle stocks!!! one a 2ed time cause his 'hunting buddy' said that color is too light the deer will see it and he picked out the color the first time!
i even went and helped him set up at the brotherinlaws house!!!
nope- no invite, and unlike for a buck knife i wont beg to go hunting
nope as i could not thake the rejection of a no.... [sniff sniff snaerk whipe]

now i ask you guys if a friend did all that might you not offer an invite?
maby i dont want to know
maby its like asking a rider to take his harly for a spin...
i dont know... is it me ?

I second it Dave!!!! :D

Dave, I totally agree with John and Jim.
You don't need to hang with peeps like that.

"In Law" means just that.
Ask yourself, if it wasn't for the fact that you were related by marriage, is that the kind of folk you would want for your Brother?

You are better than them Dave...just remember that and we all here think you are one of the best!

SO.... my advice - screw em and buy yourself a Buck to cheer you up.

If I could get a Walmart Buck 110 in a tin for $25.00 then I would be DAMN happy

Be selfish... look out for yourself

Dave are you a better shot than they are? That could explain alot!

Either that or they are afraid of all of the Buck knives you would need to bring along to field test :D

Did you ever let them know you would be interested Dave?
I go shooting with my father in law- never even knew he was into it:o
Good luck!

lol i was wondering if he shoots like he types :D
sorry dave it was just too easy;) the season is open here now come on up and if you are late and miss it (season) my neighbor has elk:thumbup:

lol i was wondering if he shoots like he types :D
sorry dave it was just too easy;)

But he STILL could shoot better than they do!!!!!

I saw some guys at the rifle range a few years back that couldn't hit the deer target at 15YDS WITH BUCKSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I'm sure Dave could beat that!! What do you think Dave?:)

i guess next year i will jest break down and ask point blank...

i also had a ruger 44mag 12 in i shot targets at 100 yd with tho it was mainly a case of hitting the 12x12 sq. that gun hurt my wrist and i sold it,,, damm hand cannon.... yea i think i can still shoot.... need to get some thing 'cides the two smoke poles i got,,,,

Thing is this Dave... gonna explain my "Be selfish... look out for yourself" comment.

You guys are cool. Even tho I will never ever meet ya you make me piss myself laughing when I read your posts and stuff.. and drool over some of your knives. And some of your knives Dave I would happily cut my arm off to own :) And if in any way I could help you guys then I would.. if you did me a favour then I would do my best to return that favour as and when it was possible.

Now you helped your father in law and they did not invite you to go hunting. So in future I would be "like I am gonna help you when you cannot even be decent to me"

Common courtesy costs nothing... and anyone who does not show it is worth nothing.

Still thats my $0.02

Oh and have a nice thanksgiving *all* you guys :)

...Okay...Back on topic...After peeling and slicing 13 pounds of granny Smith apples for two (2) HUGE 10 inch deep dish pies and choppin' 2 pounds of pecans which I roasted for two (2) pecan pies and cuttin' through 4 super large home-grown lemons for one 10 inch deep dish lemon meringue pie...(the meringue will be scrapped off for me as I hate the stuff)...not to mention the two (2) 9 inch deep dish pumpkin pies which the Bucks had nuthin' to do with...I have to say the the little Buck 444 flew through it's chores admirably...Now on to choppin' more apples, pears, oranges and assorted other veggies and turkey innards to be turned into a sage bread dressing to be placed in that unfortunate bird tomorrow morning and rendered into somethin' a bit more palatable...:D
