What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I have a new BK 10, I sanded a section of the spine to remove the coating so I can strike a firesteel. I am one of the weird ones that actually leaves the coating on most of my knives and let it wear off with use. Its ready for the woods now. I am sure most have seen, but there was a very complimentary article about the BK 10 in a recent edition of one of the knife magazines.

Gun blue the deramped 7...

This morning, I undid the handle wrap on my 14 so I could trace out the silhouette on a piece of paper. I'm preparing for my first mod and decided to use the 14 as the canvas. I will post a WIP thread once things get going.

Planning to re wrap this 14 with OD green paracord later and order a new 14 for my project.

The 11 blade shape is similar to the 14 I did a while back. Both will get their scales together.

Two things:

1) Took the 14 on a field trip to a local woodcraft supply store (family owned for 4 generations, I think) to look at some exotic wood options for custom scales. I think I have it narrowed down to bocote, snakewod, or black palm. Going to take a couple of days to think about it before I go back and purchase it, but leaning towards bocote right now.

2) Used my 3 to "break down" some boxes - my wife is out and I was bored. :-)

Cleaned up some limbs and other debris in the yard following a storm yesterday afternoon with the BK3. This blade really deserves a little more love - very pleased with it.

Cut down the dead branches of the trees in my parent's back yard. This winter has definitely taken its toll...

I've been down all weekend with the stomach flu. So today all I did was wear/carry my Becker with me.

Cut up some sweet onions to cook with my deer steaks. Then cut my deer steaks up and enjoyed.

I put some TKC G10 on a brand spanking new 14, stuck it in the factory sheath and dropped it in my back pocket.
