What did you do to/with your Becker today?

sigworthy!
I thought about my 10 and 5... :-(
Well, I've quoted you.....

I wore my modded 11 today and used it to open some boxes and a couple Noonan's Black IPA's from the Smuttynose Brewery. But mostly what I did was cause people to comment about the fact that I was wearing a knife around my neck. "Is that for if you need to kill somebody?" and "somethingsomething Crocodile Dundee something?" were the two standouts. I did let a couple people who were nicer about it actually handle it. Even the first guy who asked about if it was for killing. I said "no, it's a bottle opener with this pointy thing attached, in case you need to dispatch a rogue cardboard box or slit some sneaky tape."

*sigh* this does make me a little bit sad....

I chopped a piece of wooden spoon with my 7 to make that...:

I took a hike following bobcat tracks with my 16 and a friends 9. Made a small shelter and chopped some firewood with the 9,getting my 9 soon. Didn't see the cat, but saw lots of deer sign and scouted fishing holes on the river.

I restitched the retaining strap on my BK9, and loosened the strap on another Becker since it was too tight.

This was this week but not today. I did the following to my BK-7; striped the paint, removed the ramp, added jimping, and gave it a new finish. Here is the final product.

That does it. I'm getting a seven. I love the way they look stripped, unpolished and ramp-less.

Reprofiled the bevels on two Elevens and my edc Sixteen........ Getting ready for PWYP this weekend...... used the Eleven for opening up packages and remodeling a couple of boxes......Scraped the handle on a Hudson Bay axe I am taking along for the weekend with an eleven.......They sure are fun to use when they are wicked sharp......

Gave my 2 a little t.l.c. stropped and oiled.

Then it sat beside me as I looked at a BK14 online. My brother inlaw's birthday is coming up and he needs a good neck / belt knife. I just may use this as an excuse to get one for me too :D

Finished up a kydex sheath and firesteel in Coyote Brown to match my new micarta scales.

Last night before work I stripped Freya my BK-7 and messed around with putting an Apple cider vinegar patina on her. This blade is my first quality blade, first (and definitely not last) Becker, and the first time I've ever done any customization to a blade. Glad to have found this forum.

I cut some cheese with my 15 to put on a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast.
