What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I haven't done it, yet...but the plan for today involves etchant solution. (Maybe I'll combine chemical and electric methods today)
Naturally, there will be a stripper involved this evening

I'd been holding off on doing this for a specific reason; but today seemed like the day to do it.
After the first round of sanding...

The next week should see new scales, more sanding, and an improved edge...as long as life leaves me alone long enough to do those things.

Looking good!!!

Used the BK-4 to chop some firewood to keep things going while the youngin's shot some fowl over friends' dogs.

Gave the 6 and 21 an excuse to get out of the drawer and chop up an old diseased rose bush. Both were screaming, "is that all you got?", when I was done.

So I let the RBK have a little more fun and chopped down a cedar elm that started as a volunteer years ago but was in the wrong place and had to come down. Short work for the RBK, neither it nor I broke a sweat.

Sorry no pics but my son and I took a large IKEA box out back and slashed it down to recycle bin sized pieces with the BK21 :)

Just got my BK5 delivered today. I haven't even had a chance to fully inspect it yet, since my office mates would probably be freaked out by the short sword.

Eff 'em. Office mates need a good shaking up now and then...the paradigm needs to be shifted at regular intervals or they'll start believing the world is flat again - or that they actually have some control over their lives. Good to see that you are still alive.

I cut an apple with my 15, cut/spread some brie with my 24, and this evening am opening a couple Smuttynose Durtys with my Cam 11. A day without Beckers is like a day without sunshine.

I pulled the BK 4 out of the truck to eliminate some live oak branches hanging down in front of a shed door I was using. First time I have used it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it cut through the smaller branches that tend to bounce a bit when hit. Sliced cleanly through it before it could bend. Me like.

GK...you should start your own thread lol, that'd be bad ass!

Just got an 11 today. Trying to PCB etch the stamps so I can strip it but it seems to be going really slow or nothing at all...I'll keep at it and see what happens...

Looking through old post I was wondering what that is how you did it and any other. Info

I want to do that to my bk 15

lol! Yeah, they say I am angry enough as the It Manager. ;) They are okay when I swing out the ZTs or the Adamas.

I'm new to Beckers...at one point I had a BK2 that I never used, so I passed it on to my brother. I bought this one not too long ago and today I finished fixing it up to my liking (thanks to the pictures that I've seen on here).

That looks sweet, Armando. That is, IMO, the best way to have a blade that you'll use and enjoy using: make it your own. I use my customized 15 almost every day. Like today - used it to slice an apple for lunch. But since nobody wants to see pics of the inside of my work truck/rolling cafeteria, I will leave this here instead:

Glad you like. That edge was not easy to put on it. Recurves are not my friends. Used my 9 to prune some Mexican Petunias. Much easier than getting out the Hedgehog.

BK 16 and Lil' Canadian on fish duty this evening.

That is one Hell of a yellow perch! She is about to burst!
Never tried the Roe from them, if you decide to, give me a review?

Loving the Lil Canadian.
