What did you rehang today?

Yesterday I finished this Plumb Victory. Hope you like.

Dunlap doesn't seem to get much love, I routinely see that people pass them over for all but bargain pricing. But I can't seem to stand seeing a perfectly good head sit overlooked. This one is good again.

That's a good looking axe. I agree that Dunlap is somewhat overlooked. Equivalent to a Collins Homestead or Kelly Woodslasher. Perfectly good axe.

Just finished hanging this Plumb Boy Scouts hatchet. My aunt and uncle found this one for me at a flea market for a few bucks. The poll was badly mushroomed and someone tried to sharpen the bit with a bench grinder. I did my best to re-shape the poll. I gave it a new edge and gave it a proper haft. I also tried a forced patina using vinegar. I'm really happy with how it turned out and excited to show my aunt and uncle.

Looks 100% better! You do what you can with the poll, only the axe nuts will notice that one's been reworked.

Here's a Collins I recently re-hafted for a friend>nothing special, just cleaned up the poll and blade. Reshaped a House handle that had unusually good grain orientation.

Siskiyou Woodsman, that really looks like an honest working axe.

Smart looking handle, sheath, nice grind. I'd pick it up:thumbup:

It's been quite a while since I've posted here.
Plumb round lug jersey, for a customer.

Apparently my old method of uploading pictures no longer works- Standby!
