What is with A.G. Russel?

Parker, A. G. already posted that the doctor was going to take the knife back and use it for a camp knife. That leads me to believe that once it has been returned to the doctor that it will no longer be on the Cutting Edge website.

Mr Russell, I'll stop asking when the simple question is answered - are you going to keep trying to sell this as is or not?

What about my simple question vexes you so?

How about this - I'll leave it here and await your simple answer.

He has answered. Whoever it is that lit a fire under your bonnet, causing you to post with ever more forceful invectiveness, is also making you appear more and more the fool to many of us here.

Maybe you don't care how silly you seem. Maybe the earning of brownie points by the score is more important.

The sure way to expose a fraud, is to price something far above its value.
Say $10,000 dollars worth. Under the microscope, the festering becomes apparent.
I believe all of you, have made the Doctor and Mr. Russels point.

But what do I know, Leadfoot

Post # 425
~~~~~ I advised the doctor that mcclung and his friends had poisoned the knife to the point that it would never bring a fair price. He has decided to use it for a camp knife. ~~~~~~
We will be shipping the knife back Monday.
IF, the good Dr. has / had any of his paperwork from the sale....then it might very well be a different story that could be proven......no more.... no less.
As has already been said here..... in cases like this ....DOCUMENTATION is and can be everything.
Reputation of buyer, seller, or middle man; good or bad..... matters not one bit except in the eyes and opinions of others.
And the opinions of others do not tell the true story......... whatever it may be ?????
Only documented facts do.
Teacher, you are entirely on the money. Sorry for cutting it up a bit, but I thought I'd make it a little more concise.
No problem... it reads the same... :thumbup:
The one bit you left out....the guy who supposedly made and marked the knife, did not mark it as ATAK #001. And there is NO way it would ever have been so marked by Mad Dog Knives, since it is no ATAK and is surely not ATAK #001.
Parker, I did not "leave out" this part.
Without DOCUMENTATION there is no way you can know this for sure either unless you were a part of the original sale.
Otherwise... you are as full of crap as ALL the rest of us.
I have not looked yet - is this still for sale as ATAK #001? ~~~~~~~
Mr Russell, I guess I am still waiting for my answer as to whether or not you intend to continue the charade on the Cutting Edge....
Parker, Parker, Parker...:confused:.... He already answered this back up in post # 425.
Parker, I thought you had a little class. Are you a total litiot? You think I keep my people working on Sunday just to make you feel good? ~~~~~~~~
Parker, I don't know whether you are a "total litiot" or not.... :eek: .... whatever that is. :confused: :D
BUT... what else do you want ???
If nothing else why not just give it a rest ... unless of course you have some type real documentation that could somehow shed some light on this mystery.
~~~~~~
Heck perhaps there are a few more of these # 1's out there ???? ~~~~~~~~~~
A very thought provoking statement / question... :thumbup: ... ????????

Good grief Charlie Brown , all this over a piece of chromed 01 , who would have ever thunk it ? ;)
AMEN ! ;)

If I were the doctor I would slap that puppy on EBAY!!! :eek:
"Knife Marked Mad Dog ATAC #001 (See pics for description/condition)"
Would that be dishonest Parker?
Then Parker can email every bidder in his quest for knife authenticity justice..:D

A.G. has several good pictures on the site
Let the BUYER decide if it's fake or not
Who cares what Parker says?
He is just a guy trying to interfere in a private (potential) business transaction..IMHO

I say kindly get the F out of my transaction
Let ME decide if it's real or not

Wouldn't the informed Mad Dog collectors know (or speculate) if it's "real" or not based on the pictures?
The ones who know what the blade length is supposed to be, for example?

Supposing YOU bought it, and forget it is a Mad Dog and this is AG Russell. Call it Maker A and Seller/ Purveyor B. You'd be fucking PISSED. You'd be thinking about your money, spent on a fake, a forgery.
I would be mad at myself for not making an informed cutlery purchase
Just like I was mad at myself for buying a NEW Schrade and finding out it really is a NEW Schrade (made by Taylor Brands LLC.)
And I was mad at myself when I bought that Western L39 with crappy pictures and it had major Dremel marks on the blade
And the Union Cutlery knife I bought without asking the length of the blade and find out it's about 3/4 of an inch too short

This issue has come up in BRL's forum a few times
One or a few guys say it's a fake and want it "pulled" from the market (whatever that market/site may be)

C'mon - think about it - knife sells for $10,000 (your price at one time on the Cutting Edge) - what's that do for his current work in terms of making it more desireable?
You sure put a dent it that plan Parker:rolleyes:
Everyone could have been happy
The doctor gets his money
A.G. gets his cut
The buyer goes to bed knowing he has a POTENTIAL ATAC 1st run/prototype
Current Mad Dog knife owners are happy because the "value" of their knives go up
McClung dude can charge more money for his knives
The only guy who would be upset is Parker

Actually Parker said it best himself===>
But if you are stupid enough to believe that in fact it is exactly as marked, I would suggest looking at knives from a distance, ooo'ing and ahhh'ing rather than BUYING, and particularly pricey ones at that

All I want for Christmas is my two.........I mean all I want is a (Bertram) Hen and Rooster knife. I think the little barlows are the ticket for me.

Mr Russell, I do apologize I had missed post number 425 last evening. I do not mean to cause you any further grief.

I will have an opportunity to call you about this later today and offer this "in person" as well, but I am on my way out the door for several hours.

As to anyone else who wonders about my motives, you could always just ask. Email, PM, whatever.

I bought one of the ray skin wallets from AGR Mens catalogue. It is very nice. I have had it for years. Many people ask me about it when I take it out. Everybody really likes it.:)

Parker, I thought you had a little class. Are you a total idiot? You think I keep my people working on Sunday just to make you feel good? it seems that your signature says it all about you.

A. G.,

Parker ain't worth your good time and trouble. With all that heat and acting the fool its pretty obvious what his agenda is. I found out a lonnng time ago you cant argue with folks when their faculties are impaired. Let him and his buddy Mcclung or whomever is egging him on here to continually act the fool, be left to their own devices, humping legs and swilling gin.

Put him on ignore and let us all move on to more productive projects.

I myself, heading over to your site right now to do a little Christmas shopping.

Many Blessings,

Anthony

Wow, you appear to us here this morning a brand new man, after the Gin has worn off.

A little advise for you here: Alcohol and the Internet do not mix well.

I don't think Parker is just doing this to be a jerk , Parker ( like most of us ) , stick up for those we consider friends , I may not agree with his views or his opinions , but what he is doing is nothing any of us wouldn't do for a friend. Can't condem him for who his friends are either , we may not like his friends , Parker may not like my friends , mute point , as long as you like your own friends.

AG is standing up for his friend as the story was relayed to him , Parker is standing up for MD as the story was relayed to him.

Back on subject.... I hope my wife ordered me something from AG for X-mas , just like last year. If she calls AG , remember : under 4" closed slip joint with stag...tell her a elf told ya ;)

Ahhh yes, do you see the difference though between the two, severedthumbs?. Anything can be good in moderation. ;)

ahhh yes, only a few glasses of bourbon instead of a bottle. love the 125 proof

John, you make a good point!!!

However, I do not have friends like that. When I am full of shiit and/or obviously wrong they tell me and instead of standing up for me they just STFU.

Oh well, friends come in different wrappers I guess:D:p;)

i for one am sad the knife was pulled. i would've offered $50 shipped for it :)

maybe MD would offer to buy it privately just to make it GO AWAY?

ooh. i know. if the knive wasn't cleaned/wiped well... perhaps it still has the fingerprints of the engraver on it. that would solve the problem nicely :)

AGR is a class act guys. i got started with his catalogs, have bought his stuff, buy his consignments, and drool over the stuff at least weekly :) that's got staying power :>
