What is with A.G. Russel?

I am really disappointed only 14 of you have responded and given me your names and addresses so I could put you down as someone who speaks up for me or has brought me attention and who I can send one of our new steel thumbnail, knife openers as soon as they get in please send me your name address and your post number. to agr@agr3.com

thanks, A. G.

I don't think it's a matter of only 14 people speaking up for you. This thread alone has had hundreds of replies, mostly sticking up for you and telling the OP how great your service is. I think it's more of the fact that most of us are loyal customers of yours and simply don't want a freebie.

I've ordered no less than 50 knives from you since I started receiving your catalog, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I think I have four or five of your Woodswalkers, and I love them. You, Mr. Russell, are the epitome of what a businessman should be. You understand the consumer because you are the consumer, and based on that, you know what's fair and what's expected. The fact that you live up to that and then some has been mentioned before, so all I'll say is...

Thank you, from another satisfied customer.

A.G., I'll swap you a "Round TUIT" for one. :D Hope you are enjoying it. I'll have some for ya at Blade.

Thanks Josh,

I don't want to just give them a freebe, what I want is to make a list of folks who will spread the word when I do something they think is out of the ordinary, and I am willing to spend a little when they have already proven themselves in this thread.

AG, I'd stand up for ya and ya don't even have to give me anything, but just in case you insist, I'll send the pertinent info.:)

Just kiddin', knowin' your accessible is a better freebie for me, I like bein' able to talk to the likes of Sal and yourself.

Point taken. You're still the man

You got my e-mail a bit a go, right, AG? I think I sent it a few weeks back.

gpt it, thanks

A.G., I have been following this thread, but sporadically. The fact that you can and will stand up for your already VERY respectable reputation speaks up for itself. Please don't be offended by the lack of responses to your offer of a gift. I did not respond because I KNOW that you are an upstanding contributer to the hobby and business of knife collecting, using, ad nauseum, and deserve every $ that you earn. I find it commendable that this thread is still going with your participation. Thanks for being who you are.

Matt

Just saw this thread, and you've another defender here, AG. I've never seen anything but the best service and support out of your shop. :)

A.G., you've done plenty for me already.

AG, it wouldn't work for me as I live overseas and always have to pay customs on anything anyway. That's why I only order from you when I plan to be in the US.

Anyway, I will go out on a limb here and say that your entire customer base is your support base, because of the service that you offer.

I also value your contributions to these forums.

The doctor consigned the knife to AG to get rid of it because he was embarrassed he had ordered a knife with a turquoise colored handle.

McClung denied he made the knife because he is embarrassed he ever made a knife with a turquoise colored handle.

:D

Thanks, for the Joke!

This makes my first post on this forum. This thread was making my head swim.. This Post, was so funny, I Laughed out loud. I was not so "amused" , up to that point, that some people, obviously well intentioned, and just as obviously very knowledgeable, would presume to give advice to a man like A. G. Russel, about what would be ethical business practices ....that just struck me as odd. (seems so,to me, anyway) Anyway,I just ordered my first Randall Made Knife, (a Little Bear Bowie) in maybe 25 years, this time From Mr. Russel.
I'm a new customer for him, and I'm a brand new Forum member who found this really neat forum, as a result of a Link on Mr. Russel's web site. Sorry if I sound like an arrogant old fool. (Could be, though) :)

Great thread, great forum. Thanks for letting me join. :D

I just found this thread and was suprised :confused:that anyone would want to throw rocks at A.G. Russell. Even before I had ever done business with them, their reputation was such that I knew I would have a good transaction. Every order I have had has gone off without a hitch. Great selection and amazing customer service. Though I don't order that many knives, the first place I always look is A.G. Russell. Probably about time I ordered that Woodswalker I have been looking at.

I adhere to the saying "You Remember the quality long after you forgot the price" Businesses Like A.G Russell have only quality products in their line up...and yeah if it seems pricey its because in this day and age you kinda get what you pay for.
Designer knives, WH, CRK folder etc. and a whole bunch of Slippies, all under the same roof...its kinda like the one stop shop for the discernible customer or when one is shopping for a gift for the hard to shop for person, well I can't think of a knife Boutique that exists that offer this service.
I was looking for a sheath for a large S&M F&W Mountain Man Trapper and I found the best one on the web at AG and it was IMO very reasonable considering the quality. I recently Bought a used Dozier Master Skinner and the fit, finish, and the material (AA Iron Wood) is as good and better than some of my Custom skinners. Plus I like to look at the Catalogues it always gets an ooh, and many times the ahs too lol. AG Russell 4 ever:thumbup::thumbup:
