What knife can you not bring yourself to like?

Without a doubt, I want to like it, but I don't like it at all. I've never owned one, but I'm not going to pay $400+ for a knife I dislike.

Same goes for the ZT0560/0561, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, and Kershaw Cryo/Thermite. I've owned all four and don't like any of them. That doesn't make them a bad knife, I just don't like them.

I'd say it's a very love it/hate it thing with the Sebenza. I love mine, but it did take a little while to get that way honestly.
I had always wanted to get one, but once I did there was a momentary thought of "is this it?" that definitely went throught my mind. Once I worked up the guts to really use the knife though, it was great.
I don't carry mine everyday, but it is a great folder to me for hunting, because it sharpens easily in the field, and can be taken down and cleaned better than any other knife I own. It will never leave my collection, but it probably took me a couple of weeks owning it before I really came to appreciate it.

And I completely agree on the 0560/0561. Wanted to like that knife, but I just couldn't. Too sharp on the gimping, too weird in the hand, flipping action was nice but not great. Also had weird ergors that just didn't really work when really using the knife, and it was just...off all around.

Yep, this too.

Gross.

Lol those Norseman blades are rather unsightly. The blades resemble what I would imagine a Rhino's dong looks like.

I couldn't get into the Tad MK's because of sharp frame edges, and ergos felt small and uncomfortable choil compared to a strider which I prefer.

I almost think it's unfair to say though seems fair game here because I've never actually owned one, but I've never seen a ZT I was interested in except for the 561. Maybe it's all the branding. I like and do own the XM-18 though.

This is all about personal taste - fairness isn't an issue. ZT isn't owed appreciation by all by default - many of the ZTs, especially the newer ones, just hold zero draw for me. The 0801 and 0777 are the only two I really would care to carry and use. The rest are well-built but far outside of my EDC needs.

I don't try very hard to like a knife these days; either it appeals to me or it doesn't. No biggie. If someone hates the knives I love, that's cool, too. Diversity is good as long as it's civil, imo.

I haven't been able to pull the trigger on any ZT except the 0801S110V. I love the 0801. I got an 0350CFM390, but it came uncentered out of the box. I had to send it off to ZT because I couldn't get it centered myself. I have no idea if I'll like the knife. I think it will be a pain to sharpen with the recurve and M390.

OMG! This thread is so pleasant. I can't believe so many posts disliking the Sebenza and not one fanboy blowing up. So number one of course is CRK. I admit I like the looks of the Mnandi but damn it's tiny.
I don't like the looks or grind of Strider.
I've tried to like Emerson, but I really can't. I did pick up a Gypsy which is cool looking.
I'll probably edit to add later. :D

You missed ZT and Hinderer to go with the others....Then all shit would of broken loose.

Okay, yeah Hinderers and ZTs asymmetric grips. Why not make the whole thing Ti? Ti and G10 looks schizy.
I like the ZT 0200 and 0801 alot.

The Leek.... over the years ive picked up a couple here and there, but they were quickly sold/traded away. I love the blade design and the way the knife disappears in a pocket, but its entirely too slim for me to get a comfortable/solid grip if I need to use it for anything more than light daily use.

I have to also add I hate the look of mother-of-pearl and stag. I would not buy any knife with either of those "premium" handle materials.

I'll add to my own thread, because whatever.

Paramilitary 2. Can't get behind it. Tried it. More than once. I don't like the lock. I don't like the blade shape. I don't like how thin the tip looks. I'm sure it's a perfectly resilient tip, but my perception of it is enough to keep me away.
Traditional folders. I have never seen a particularly enticing reason for a knife to not be fully operable with one hand and/or not lock open. I've tried nail-nick knives and just end up using my keys instead because my keys don't take two hands to open.
