What knife makes the best sound?

My old 4 inch Colt Python in ultimate stainless. It had the sweetest sound and feel when you thumbed the hammer back.Wish I still had it.....cus they don't make em no more.

My top contenders:

Microtech LCC D/A fired with the spring. Ker-thwak!

Kershaw Tyrade. Nothing like a spring-loaded monster blade in a Titanium frame lock.

Microtech Scarab D/A Out The Front. You have to just hear it. Then you'd know.

Now there's the ultimate "hollow" grind. LOL

Total agree on the slippie sound. A couple others I enjoy the sound of is a CRKT (not expensive at all) but a sweet sound comes from my "My Tighe" AO full size. When it completes it's opening there's a neat resonance you can hear and feel in hand. Another is my ZT 0200, yea that bank vault thing:thumbup:

I love the sound of my "My Tighe" it just sounds so solid and powerful

I think the Kershaw Leek is my best sounding knife, it just has a sweet little pop to it.

My ZT302 also makes some serious sound with that big titanium frame lock swinging over.

Yes, got a 4inch blued and there is nothing like it.. Have you seen the price of .357 ammo lately thoug?

Out of all my knives I'd have to say that I like the sound of my 710 the most. It just sounds like it means business. Not too loud, not too soft, just ready to do work.

Of my knives, I prefer the sound of the ZT0500. The smooth sound of the mechanism releasing and then clicking back into place is great. When I hear that I know I'm ready to do business.

There's the added benefit is that there's never grit in the mechanism. Even after a week climbing desert sandstone, or wollowing around in a muddy cave.

Agreed, solid solid sounding knife, I have the plain edge non coated 154cm:thumbup:

The best sound (to my ears) that a folder makes is the lockup of a Sebenza. "Clack!"

The best sound a knife makes overall is the sound of a Busse NMFBM in a hard chop, hitting wood. "WHOCK!" It just sounds lethal.

I really like the sound of my Lum Chinese Folder. I will say though, the best sound and feel I have ever had in a knife was my Spydeco Citadel.....It is just amazing

Would have to be the quite sound of my Umnumzaan. I feel it more than hear it, seems to be like an air tight bank vault door closing.

The Spyderco Bg42 carbon fiber had a nice "clack" to it.

Ahh, there is nothing quite like the sound of a fine tuned Strider AR as it is opened and that thick, beefy liner snaps open to lock it all up.

My custom Pat Crawford tanto folder. Makes a tic sound rather than a click when you open he blade. Sorta like a fine watch.

For me its a tie:
Strider SMF for a robust sound
Emerson HD-7 for a finely tuned 'thawack'

When I saw this thread, my Lochsa came to mind immediately. But I see rugbymatt got here just ahead of me. It sounds like no other. I wish I could describe it, but the words have not yet been invented. :)
