What knife makes the best sound?

How about Case folders? No snap and I don't buy it. Loved the sound as a kid. It just sounded like "quality". My SOG Mini Vulcan has a nice pop when you open it fast.

My first choice would have to be any one of my Striders.

Second? My Microtech Socom. *SCHICK*

I have an older bayonet with metal scabbard fittings. The sound as the bayonet is removed... music to my ears. Like a Shinggg noise.

I also have a bayonet that does this. Beautiful to hear.

My machetes (a few Condors and a CS barong machete) ring wonderfully when they cut.

For a folder, I'd have to say the sound of a Manix, even though I don't own one or have a deep-seated love for the model. What a back lock!

My native has a very nice CLICK noise. My dad's applegate combat folder by gerber has a very strong noise, I love it.

I love the loud solid sound of opening my Military in a public bathroom. Standing at the urinal with ceramic tile all around. The guy sitting on the crapper usually lets loose after hearing this.

OK that was good:) You know I've often times thought that but never said it;):):D

Benchmade 9050 KAWACK(!), then the Kershaw Leek.

Is that a 732 with the 9050?

Of my knives, I prefer the sound of the ZT0500. The smooth sound of the mechanism releasing and then clicking back into place is great. When I hear that I know I'm ready to do business.

There's the added benefit is that there's never grit in the mechanism. Even after a week climbing desert sandstone, or wollowing around in a muddy cave.

The more I think of it, I have to agree with firebert!

My Buck Strider that "STR" converted to a Ti-Framelock has a great "Snap" to it that it did not have as a linerlock.
