What knife would you like to see next from CPK?

There are many tameshigiri taikai (cutting competitions) held around the world, but due to the inherent limitations of traditional steels and heat treatments, most practitioners end up preparing separate swords—one for soft targets like tatami, and another for hard targets like bamboo.

Every time I use the FK3, I can’t help but imagine how incredible a full-sized katana made from D3V would be. If CPK were to make such a blade, I truly believe it could surpass even Howard Clark’s L6 bainite swords, becoming the ultimate katana of our time. It would likely go down as a legend—an Excalibur of the modern age, and the dream sword of countless enthusiasts.

PS) If CPK ever makes a sword—whether it's a katana, an arming sword, or even a rapier—I'm buying it, no questions asked.

Ummmm

If you search, there are several DEK3 with sharpened top tip and (long) swedge around. Doesn’t get more “fighty” than that with a ~4” blade ….

But they’re ugly … why anybody would use that instead of a DEF is beyond me :)

If an LEO encounter gets dangerous enough that the need to pull a knife for grappling defense becomes necessary, he will want Ugly. Really UGLY!
