What knives do you absolutely not like or not understand the hype? I'll go first.

-Most Hinderers
-All Striders
-Most knives that run on bearings, if you really use a knife in the real world bearings are a bad idea.
-Bark River except for the machete
-All mid tech knives at custom prices
-Any knives that are gimmicky
-All Kershaw made after 2000
-Most Medfords although their customer service was excellent when I had to use it.
-Any sharpened pry bars, you all know which ones they are.

Partial serrations

Puukos

Gotta say GEC so far.

Chris reeve just because nobody else said it and the only one ive ever seen had a horribly offcentered blade with side to side play. Could have been easily fixed but the disappointment in that boys face when he went to show me his 400 dollar knife was pitiful. (Once again small sample size)

My two examples of GEC (both forum knives) are well….less than great, they look amazing until you open them and see the blades….. sorry, i want to love them but for the price I dont get it.

How can anyone be critical of the chisel grind ,special tactical blade shape , that works like hydro-shock type ammo ? 🤓

Wave opening gets a serious bravo !
I love chisel grinds, on my chisels and plane blades. My buddy made us some marking knives that are chisel ground dagger fashion, so you can use them with either hand. It's a lot of trouble, though to maintain.
The Leatherman knives are hideous.
I'm not a knife snob, but I don't see the point. I have Schrades and Case knives for that style. And on the off occasion I need a pair of pliers, I will go get a good pair of pliers out of the tool box. If I need a screwdriver, I will get the screwdriver. A box of actual tools stays in my truck - sockets, screwdrivers, etc.,

Glad I'm not the first to say this here.... I was going to say, get out the tar and feathers! I'm sure any esteem I may have had here will be completely zeroed out. 🤣

1- CRK - what a disappointment. I've tried a few times - multiple versions of the large and small sebenza, an inkosi and an umnumzaan. Horrible thumbstuds - yeah, I know, I was doing it wrong. Luckily was able to sell them without too much of a loss

2- PM2 - tried a few times. I despise that handle shape! I'll just go ahead and lump in almost every 'ergonomic' shaped handle, finger grooves and what not, as well.

Don't worry Coleman. I think a few Finns have miraculously managed to survive and can provide instruction on puukko safety.
After the bars close, of course.

(I'm a fan.)
Of bars or puuko’s? 😉

I don’t generally use knives with guards. I don’t like guards. So puukos are right up my alley.

I actually have quite a few , especially on serrated knives .

I was just poking some fun at all the speculation ,at one time , about why Emerson used it so much . Some secret super tactical advantage surely !

IIRC , he finally admitted ,essentially, that it doesn't matter ,functionally , what kind of grind you use on tactical folder ! :D
