I forgot to come by here and post my walnut Charlow. What a beautiful knife! I wonder why walnut isn't used more often for knife covers.

Ha - thanks, Dave! Since I lost my last point and shoot about a year ago, I've been using the camera on my iPhone exclusively. Not exactly the greatest camera, but if you learn how to dance with it, the results are surprising sometimes.

Charlie, A BIG thank you for the Sheepfoot I was so fortunate to win in your GAW

I had to post here as I will post elsewhere also, but here is the beauty that arrived the other day from Charlie. I absolutely love it Charlie :thumbup::thumbup:

It's redundant but the F&F is simply amazing on all the Barlows I have from you---this one is no exception.

Here she is!!! My 2 Blade Sheepfoot in "Gunstock" Walnut :D

Thanks again Charlie---a family heirloom it will be. No safe queen---in the pocket to see day to day use. With my Gabon 2 blade Clip of course ;)

Paul

I love it, that looks like a great idea! Forget the pen, what about a two blade barlow with that configuration?

Jack, if I recall correctly, I stood in front of Ray's table at a past Chesapeake knife show, nearly salivating over the barlows he had on display. What a looker! Made by a nice guy too.

this is my small Barlow collection. Not that much knives, but I really like the pattern.

Long Pulls are a must have on this knife pattern, Imo ;)

As secondary blades, I have seen punches, screwdriver/caplifters, and electrician's wirestripper/screwdrivers, as well as trapper-like long speys.

I would love to get a Charlow with a screwdriver/caplifter! That would be highly convenient for opening my IPAs! :D

A trapper-like long spey on the Charlows would also be fantastic as well as a punch/awl/reamer!

A charlow with a spear main and caplifter secondary is almost dreamy....a nice long matchstrike pull would put it over the top.

I think you guys are completelly right. I would buy one or two within a heartbeat.

A caplifter is such a useful tool, especially after a hard day at work. ;) :D

Spear and sheepsfoot? Spear and clip? Spear and coping?

Oh heck. I wish I would've made it to the Rendezvous. I could've pleaded with the powers that be at GEC to make a daddy barlow!

(nudge nudge Duncan to get behind the mic and start the daddy barlow chant...)

Walnut single blade tc barlow. Got in mail saturday and firced a grapefruit patina today. May be sacrilegious to some but i love it! Thanks charlie

Love my new Walnut Charlow! It goes great with my other single blade Charlows

Thanks again Charlie!!!

I woke my four year old granddaughter Emma on Saturday to show her what will be her first knife when her parents see fit:

Later, we went outside to do more important things:

So far I'm two for two with grandchildren and Charlows. Her cousin Jack received the first one in Gabon ebony with a clip main when he was born four months ago.

Thanks Charlie!!

Just twangs my heart strings!!

I've got three granddaughters now! Congrats on helping raise them right, bonky!!

And you are more than welcome! Little tales like these are thanks enough!!

Thats is a great gift to pass onto your grandchildren, bonky! I can see those Charlows lasting for many generations to come! Those knives will become very sentimental.

I've never owned a Barlow but them Charlows are sending my heart racing. Now I have to read through 100+ pages to see what I am missing!
