A quick Pic at work :)

Outstanding knife Paul !!!!!!!!! That is one that I am really sorry I missed out on .

To my knowledge, GEC has never made a Russell branded knife.
Green Valley, Boker, and I believe Schrade did... and Tuna Valley uses that bolster stamp, but I don't think they use that tang stamp.
This is a Barlow that I believe was made by Queen ( WRONG ) that used the ARROW on the Bolster which I think is different than what Tuna Valley uses ???? and way different than RUSSELL . Tang Stamp is Cripple Creek
Edited to add : Made by Cripple Creek but not by Bob Cargill !!!!
Edited again : I guess it may have been made by Queen for Cripple Creek in Effingham /// I can for sure tell you it is a well made Barlow and I am glad to have it .

This is the 100 Year Commemorative RUSSELL Barlow made by Schrade in 1975 next to a Schrade Filagree . If you look real close at the Delrin ??? covers , the dimples are all the same .

Two more Russell Commemoratives . Top one made by COLONIAL and the bottom one made by probably Boker for Green River .

This is an original Russell with the Boker

And the same two showing the Double Stamped Bolster on the Russell

Wonderful array of Russells Harry! Beautiful! I love the jigging on the Effingham Cripple Creek.

Thanks a bunch Dwight !!!! Do you know it was made by Cripple Creek or Queen ???
EDIT ---- WRONG
I believe those were made in the Effingham location after Bob made a deal with them to produce his knives. In other words those are not actually made by Bob Cargill personally during that period but ARE Cripple Creek made (in the Effingham facility) NOT QUEEN MADE

Great post, Harry... those are all beautiful. 🤠
And thanks for reminding me that it was Colonial (not Schrade) that made that commemorative Barlow. :)

Well Harry in view of what Charlie just posted it appears I may be wrong about your Barlow although Charlie’s Queen made ones are pinned differently than yours.
It is very risky to rely on my knife knowledge. I would liken myself to Don Quiote in this context. :)
EDIT - Note I spelled Quixote wrong - See what I mean?

I see what you have pointed out Dwight . I guess that I will have to do my research again . I am getting too old for this .

Great group of barlows Harry. The Cripple Creek was made by Queen, I don't think the company that bought Cripple Creek from Bob Cargill actually made any knives, they subcontracted out to Queen and others.
Real Bob Cargill made barlows usually had a unique curved frame.

Thank s John . That is basically what I have seen also . I am starting to believe that mine was Probably made by Queen and Re-Covered and one of the PINS was purposely left out .
