I love the lighter colored ones. And the idea behind it. Hoping I get one.
What a tattoo? awesome - pics or it didn't happen!!!
They look great Charlie! I love that look:thumbup:
Did they stabilize them or just use as is and polish the covers?
Just spoke to my artist and he may be able to squeeze me in today!
Some days ago I shot at the Bay a Barlow ... I thought it was made in Sheffield or maybe in the US, but reading the tang stamp says it´s made in good ol' Solingen
York-Dutch-Barlow is stamped on the bolsters
pen blade is broken but the spear blade is still strong and full - there´s a little play though but the spring is strong
Any information about its origin?
Amazing!! I thought everyone would chuckle and move on.
I am humbled!!!
Actually, I thought that a great tattoo would simply be the bolster stamp:

As others have pointed out earlier in this thread, the TC is a classy logo that means much more than just Tidioute Cutlery. Besides Tom's Choice, the letters could mean Time Constant (from physics), or the abbreviation for 'take care.' CT is the Latin abbreviation for cum tempore: With Time! So this bolster stamp, so beautiful in its simplicity, opens up all sorts of poetic possibilities for a great tattoo!
I've been wanting to add a knife tattoo to my collection for some time now. Charlie your comment made a light bulb go off in my head. A Barlow was the first knife my father gave me. He also carried and used a barlow for work. In short the design carries a lot lot meaning and memories for me.
The other thing is my longtime friend happens to be a tatto artist here in Pittsburgh. I knew him before any of us had ink. So a quick text yesterday and I move to the front of the line. (Typically you wait months for an appointment) with any luck I'll be inked by the end of the weekend!
TC on your forehead?
(One hopes you will not have to moon Mr. Waynorth in order to claim your reward.)
