What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Here's about half of them, Primble. I will do something better in the future, when I have more time. I have to keep one of every variation for reference.
There have been a couple of odd ones that have gotten away!
Like one with different scales on each side!

Oh my, is it my imagination, or are my eyes seeing an ivory clad Charlow???

Thanks Primple. We may need to do another raid ... where does Charlie live? Just kidding, but that is an amazing treasure you have there Charlie.

One of the inspirations for the third-cut Stag. Kinda looks like a great, great, Grandpa!

I can surely see the the family resemblance. These third cut stags are making some mighty beautiful knives!

It is way way way too far north for us hillbilles KBA - besides - what would be the use ? - we couldn't post them on Blade Forums.:D:D

Primple you have a point. Guess I will put my black clothes, mask, and crowbar away. As much as I would love to look through all those Charlows, I still would love more to see in person the barlows Charlie posted at the beginning of this thread. I visit that post often.

Your eyes are good, vet! Bill surprised me with that one!
I asked him if he could surprise me at the Rendevous, and he said, "we'll see"!
I am hopeful!

Charlie - that is an amazing group of knives!! It makes me wonder...have there been spear point or sheepsfoot TC's with banana bone? I don't recal having seen any...just sayin' :D

Sadly not, only single spey or clip or 2 blade spey/clip version with the smooth yellow bone. A single sheepsfoot with yellow bone would be a grail knife especially if it had the rotten banana bone! :)

Dang...we can take comfort knowing Charlie will read this, I guess. ;)

Jeff Foxworthy would say: You might have too many Charlows when you have to ask your family to help you unroll your knife roll.:D

Just wanted to look at these again before I go beddie bye - I can go to sleep with this last image in my wee brain.:yawn::yawn:

Pure awesomeness Charlie..Wow!!

Charlie's collection needs its own thread and photo treatment. I volunteer as historian.
+1

What we need is a TC Museum to forever preserve Charlie's legacy and make them available to the masses. You've got the historian gig, Paul can be curator, and Primble our resident photographer. Since KBA is so adept at raids he can be Head of Security. ;)

you forgot the 18 wheeler mate - we would need it to move all those Charlows!

If this comes to be, I would also volunteer to count them for our good member Charlie, who has so many knives and so little time. ;):D . . . .

I volunteer as night watchman. Then I can wander around and fondle all those Charlows after the rest of you have gone home for the day. :D
