What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

As per requested here are the only 2 recent pics I have of Ol Blue. :D In fact the whole outfit for working over here in the oil patch!
The camper and Ol Blue... she a good ranch truck, firewood, hay whatever needs moved and a portable photo studio! :D

Dave

Nice truck Dave...also like the flag flying....nice touch.

Nice truck. I used to have one just like it, but without the cow catcher. That small difference turned out to be it's undoing when I decided to wrap it around a tree about 8 years ago when we were out looking for a Christmas tree. She was a good truck, though and drove us home even thought there was a 6 inch deep crease in her front bumper.

Thanks, Duncan and Dave. I think the Day's Work etch isn't the most appropriate for a beach bum photo, but I was working today. (Promise!)

I was driving down the key to take some photos for work, and noticed this little beach access would be a great spot for a photo op. Snapped a couple pics and then it was back in the truck and back to work!

You guys are killing me. I am already fighting off buying a viper so I can attempt to buy the Washington jack bit you keep showing these great looking charlows. Fighting the urge. Seriously nice knife Phil!

What key Philllll? I lived down there for a couple years, 1st on Marathon, Big Piney and then Tavernier. Been a bunch of years ago now. I'm sure it's all changed.

Your not by chance out in the Bakken are you Dave?
Yes Paul! But that encompasses quite a BIG area! I'll bet the Bakken family is tired of the whole country being called "The Bakken" Bet they wish the Jones family next door had the 1st oil well in this formation. Then it could be called "The Jones" :D

Not one of the proper Florida Keys, unfortunately. That was on Manasota Key on the gulf coast.
Yup! know right where your at!

That is True Dave:D Anywhere in the North Dakota Bakken?

Folks, some beautiful barlows here, Two questions, first what does the acronym SFO represent. And second, can anyone point me to where to look for a single blade version with a wharnie blade?

Thanks for any advice/feedback.

Yes Paul. The company I work for does quite a bit of work for Marathon. They have offices in Dickinson & New Town among others places. We seem to deal with New Town more, so most of my time is spent between New Town and Killdeer on the Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation. In and around the N. Dakota badlands, VERY pretty country but louse cell and internet service. :grumpy:
