What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

The Apple Cider Vinegar release also had 6 knives, or at least I think so. :confused: The Clip Blade Saw Cut Soup bone tube has an Apple Cider bucket but also a Tom's Choice Banner on the front and a Tom's Choice back label. Oh well I will included here... All the rest have a Spear main with long pull. :cool: The single blade Spear has #152113 stamped on the tang and the 2 blade Spear has #152213.

Fantastic knives Dave!!! :eek::eek::eek:

Wonderfully presented as well. :thumbup::thumbup::)

I am with you Dan - just waiting to get to see releases I have never seen. :D

I am dancing a jig, while the corn pops!!

This is a mighty fine show, Dave!!

GEC has this picture captioned as, "#77 Northfield Barlow pen blades"…are you secretly working your magic Charlie?!?!

77NorthfieldBarlowPens.jpg

A little birdie told me two #77's SFO's + the Forums knife were being produced…it would be nice if that second SFO is a Camapgna!

Armando, The Forum knife will be quickly followed by a Washington-bolstered Jack (my SFO), and a Northfield Barlow on that #77 pattern (Mike Latham's SFO). Can't wait to see Mike's Barlow! It will be a bit longer than the TCs! Should be interesting!

I'm already registered on that Northfield Barlow waitlist! I saw the Washington Jack bolsters…very attractive!

I love the #78 pattern and think the #77 Barlow has the potential to be a stunning knife. Unfortunately Mike doesn't like shipping to the UK...:(

Hey, ho. This cat has learned to be patient:)

Dave, amazing first showing of those beauties! Thank you for showing them off. :thumbup:

I'm also looking forward to Mike's SFO Barlow coming out. Between Mike and Charlie I may need to look for a second job. :)

Washington bolster?

The next release was the Clip blades, Tom's Choice or as the bucket states "Canadian White Washer" actually it reads "Canada White Washer" Now I wonder what our friend Bill Howard meant by this statement? Was he speaking of our friend Mr. Calm-Pon-Yuh's work ethic? A painter extraordinaire perhaps? It remains a mystery for now. ;)
So let see... there are 8 Clip Blade versions, 9 if you count the Single Blade Saw cut Soup bone! :D 4-Single Blade and 4-2 Blade, all with long pulls and "Tom's Choice" etch on the main. 3 Saw cut bones and an Ebony for both variations. The single blade has #15113 stamped on the tang.
The Front of the knife tube with mystery bucket and "Tom's Choice" banner...

The single Blades... Ebony

Saddle Brown...

Antique Amber...

Rust Red...

That is enough pics for 1 post.

On to the 2 Blades, all have the pen in front of the main. :thumbup: Tang stamp #151213

The Ebony...

The Saddle Brown... I can't believe I cut the tip of the blade off croping the photo! :mad:

The Antique Amber...

And last but by no way least, The Rust Red...

And as with all the different releases a little wisdom from Himself, this time a few moments thought about Tom Sawyer! :cool:

Really enjoying your posts Dave, a total treat for the eyes :thumbup:

Charlie, not sure if my memory is going (well I know it is), but during poor Jim's rather long and artificially-extended incarceration, weren't the knives referred to case knives - ie sheath knives? Excuse me for being a pedant ;)

So we dug and dug with the case-knives till most midnight; and then we was dog-tired, and our hands was blistered, and yet you couldn’t see we’d done anything hardly.

Bad plan! Shoulda had Barlows! :D

Dave - you had me fetchin' all of my Charlow tubes out of my rabbit holes yesterday.

Thanks again for the show! :thumbup::D
