What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

A good cabinet maker friend was slicing up some Brazilian Rosewood, and I begged a couple of pieces from him. I hope it shows nicely; it has a rainbow of Color in it!!
I wish I had more, but it is hard to find even some scraps!

I promised myself that I would not get so excited about this release and would refrain from all the cartoons and such, however, you sure are making it tough for me to keep my promise.
