What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I really hope I can score one of those sheepsfoot soon. It's by far my favorite.

I hear you, g. But if my memory hasn't completely failed, I think I remember something about jigged bone sheepfoot Barlows, maybe around February? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I was fondling this one today. Still pristine. Haven't been able to bring myself to use or carry it.

These Anniversary knives are stunning. Wouldn't it be great if there were a wider release of red marrow bone and rosewood on an upcoming TC Barlow?!!!

I have a red soup bone waiting at home but I won't be there until Friday and looking at all of these pictures of them is torturous! I think it's a bit ironic that back in the day, these were the dirt cheap beater knives, but now they are the highly sought after collector pieces. I also wasn't sure how much I liked soup bone, but I have to admit, I think I love it. This is my first TC Barlow and I can't wait for a nice CF & CE session!

Post more pictures please!

My mailman delivered this yesterday at my work place. I was so busy I didn't even open the package, then forgot to take it home! DUH!
So I was sure to rip that envelope open first thing this morning.
Charlie!!! These are beautiful!!! The Red is outstanding!!! Congratulations!!!
Sorry for the bad pics, fluorescent lighting is definitely not the best.

Has anyone got a pic of their newly aquired TC Barlow 2nd Anniversary Rosewood Barlow with a spear point blade? I scored one but it will be 10-14 days before I see it......I didn't see one
in your picture Charlie....you got one on the way? That rosewood sheepsfoot is just awesome looking.

I really need to step my game up and get in somehow on these rare ones. I'm competing against a lot of you sure hard collectors so it should be interesting! Some of your collections are amazing.

Mo' better photos:

Today's Anniversary knives are my favorite so far. (It seems like I say that every time a new one is shown in this thread.) Can't wait to see your photos, Primble.

Great pictures everyone---darn mailman was here and gone---no soup today.

Fridays are always good days for soup:thumbup:

Yeah - those TCs are really awesome looking. I love the deep, rich red color of the bone.

Is there any change to get 'em with 2 blades? (Clip & Pen)

Got a little something in the mail today, too...
