Got a little something in the mail today, too...

Charlie, this Rosewood TC really means a whole lot to me. Thank you for all you have done, all you continue to do, and all you will do for us traditional knife collectors and mental patients... :D You're a great guy, and a huge asset to all of us here! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats. :D

Way to go Dan, Just hauling 'em in, nice. :)

Nice one Jon, can you show a pic of the pile side?

Primble's Soup - hard to get a decent picture today - dark, dreary, misting all day - this will have to do - for now. :o:)

I am very very pleased with the bone on this one. ;)

The forecast is for rain through Saturday.

Those red soup bones look great! I was not lucky enough to score one but does anyone know how many were made?

Newbie question. Where did "Pile side" come from?

From the man himself :)

We have a lot of newer people on this forum, so I will define my terms!
The front of the knife is the shield side. and usually the main tang stamp side also.
In the cutlery industry, the front is referred to as the Mark side.
The back, or other side is called the Pile side. I don't know why, but it somehow fits (it is the bottom of the pile of pieces that make a knife:D)

I believe it was around 150 pieces of Red Soup Bone. 11 Clip Rosewood, 7 Sheepsfoot Rosewood and 6 Spear Rosewood. I think. :D

Five minutes my butt...I was waiting when it popped on the screen and immediately jumped on it only to be told it was sold out. That had to be a first nano-second sale in history. Wow.

So glad I got a pre-order, I would be heart broken if I was counting on getting one through KSF.

I was however hoping and praying for a Rosewood. Can't believe I missed the email that went out :(

Damn how did I miss those. Now I'm starting to think this is a sick joke being played on me. I guess it's not meant to be afterall. I can't look at another 2nd anniversary TC barlow without flipping out I think

The rosewood barlow is my new ultimate grail Charlow, especially with the cool story behind them. Their elusiveness makes me want one even more, of course! Guess I'll be playing the long game.

Anyway, congrats to the (very) few who have scored.

Happened to me twice with the first run of mammoth fremont jacks

Charlie you've created a feeding frenzy for these knives :)

Must be a great feeling to know that you have brought a knife to the world that is so sought after and cherished , good on you man :thumbup:

I'm not going to have a minute to spare until next week some time so please forgive the poor pics. I love the red soup bone on all of the ones shown. I am extremely pleased with mine. It is my first long pull Charlow. Thank you Charlie & Barry for a great one. :) (Better pics to follow. When ever I find the time.)

I thought the Christmas lights added to the seasonal color.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening.
