Well, I finally got my paws on one of the 3rd Cut Stag Charlows! A good friend on the forum was willing to part with this one.
I know it hurt to give it up, but I vow to be a good caretaker!
The texture is very different from bone, or even the usual stag or wood handles. I love it!
The pile side picture was obviously under a red light on the Christmas tree, so the color may be a bit off...
I'll clean that dust off the blade and get some outdoors pictures later.
Now I will be dreaming of future Charlows in 3rd Cut Stag, maybe a 2015 sheepfoot?!?! And I will be on the lookout for a single blade version to keep this one company.

Congrats Scott on getting a hold of a 3rd cut!! Looks like a very unique one as well, I like it.

Excellent news Scott - that was a great month - I had the pleasure of picking up three parcels today - there was a fantastic TC in there - I will post more in the weekend :thumbup:

Someone asked for more pictures of a Rosewood Sheepfoot. There are some out there, but here is mine. I got a little carried away,and scanned it with the other Sheepfoot Barlows:

Well sir... I would have to say this is my dream set of TC Barlow's. I love the sheep foot. I did not even know the Anniversary came in a sheep foot. I really need to try to read this thread more often. Beautiful, simply beautiful.
Carried this one again today. It makes a good Barlow, but I have to say the Sheepfoot is still very desirable!

That picture makes it hard to be sympathetic regarding your paucity of sheepfeet. I have a couple of them (posted pics yesterday a.m.), but I am hoping we will see an early 2015 run of TC Barlow sheepfoot blades!

I managed to piece together a full anniversary set! The rosewoods are mighty fine.
Phil... so nice! How did I miss the rosewood sheep foot. A real beauty there. Enjoy it!
