What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Wow, those are a great lineup Barry! Oh the woes of being a dealer. I couldn't do it,,,,,,I'd never sell anything!

Wow, Primble, that barlow is magnificent. Absolutely stellar jigging, maybe the coolest I've ever seen, and great blades.

Also, I haven't posted in the "Totin'" thread recently, but thanks for your kind words a bit back. (I know this isn't the place to say it, sorry)

One of the reasons I like to use an Ipad is because it is easy to zoom in on a pic. Zooming in on the jigging of the Barlow shows there is a lot of character even within that magnificent jigging. Beautiful work Glenn.
The bolster work is stunning as well. What color is the bone?

Beautiful barlow Primble!

Thanks Gev! Do you have a picture of yours? Or direct me to a thread here and I will check yours out.:)

Absolutely, Mark! Here they are for you

I agree with that! It is a really handy tool for zooming in for a closer look.

I too like the look of the newly installed bone. The jigging and coloring have been well presented on the old Imperial Barlow.

Goodness Primble! That job Glenn did on the Imperial is awesome! He don't make junk. Gev, that Robeson is a beauty!

Thank you, Sir! I guess I did not make it very clear in my post but they are two different specimens. They are almost twins and only a daddy could tell them apart:)

ALLHSS, Brett, Rusty, Perry, Scott, and Gevonovich - thank you for the comments and I agree with you - Glenn did a great job!!!:)

ALLHSS - you are most welcome! :)

Gevonovich - the twin RCC is fabulous + that wonderful old Catt Barlow you have + the wonderful old Ulster Barlow you have = Primble needs to sneak down to Texas with his Acme burglar toolkit and dog repellant - ohh never mind - Gevo has a kitty cat.:eek::D

All this talk about iPad zooming - I thought I would give the desktop guys the same look at Glenn's fancy jigged bone:

That picture is stellar, well all the pictures are stellar. It would be cool for Glenn to show us how he does that wonderful gigging.

Wow, Primble... that absolutely is thé best looking barlow I have ever seen on here. Breath taking. That character, the jigging, the blade shape... Just wow.

GREAT looking old Barlow Mark & Gev!
Glenn did a SUPER job on your Barlow Primble!
