Having a friend watch out for you at a remote little Gun and Knife show, makes for some Good Traditional Barlows!!
Thanks to my buddy, Bob, I have a nice little quartet of nearly-ancient Barlows, presented to me at our monthly knife club!

The top one is a small - a hair under 3" - Swanworks, from Ohligs, Germany.
Well used, and also taken care of it is a looker!

The next one down is a Ward's! First one I have ever seen, though there must be some around, as it was a common brand!!??

Then we have a Corning Knife Co, N.Y.City.
Seems I have seen that tang stamp before, but where??

Last, we have an Enos Furness & Sons, with stamping out on the blade. The oldest of the lot, it has integral bolsters, in the old Barlow manner. I love this thing!! It walks and talks perfectly!!

It's been a really knife day!!:D

Nicely done Charlie - I love the third Barlow down by Corning - Great knife - I love the very deep channeled Pull, hey dont get me wrond as the Old Barlow E.F & S is a goodie as well - good to see you displaying some of the German stuff - man did they make some wonderful knives!! The Wards though... I think that is a really nice looking knife - I have a Wards, but not a Barlow.

Finally some nice enough weather for a picture of the newest edition to the TC family. Thanks to Markesharp for helping me get this one.

The bolsters are getting a flat and well used look to them - looking like an old knife. :)

Thank you Perry and Charlie - those old Barlows which you posted above are outstanding Charlie.:)

Here's another Swanworks/Ohlig's, Charlie!

I like that old Barlow a lot Dan!!!:)

Looks like I have another old Barlow coming in today's mail, however, it won't be a keeper ! ;);):)

From what I have read, the Swanworks (Swanwerks) name started in 1920.
Ohligs was incorporated by Solingen in 1929, so maybe the knife was made between those dates, but further info is advisable IMO.
