Is that your own painting Sarah? If so, you're very talented and I like it a lot.

Awesome painting!!!
Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks, guys.

My son surprised me with it last night.

When I asked him why those two knives, he replied that he knew the 'guitar one' was special to me, and that the other one held a lot of visual interest and complemented the first one well.

'Guitar one'...? OH! -- I'd told him about how, as a lover of guitars, I was especially thrilled to have a barlow in brazilian rosewood. That stuck with him, which makes his choice all the sweeter.

I love that both are knives I watched come into being, courtesy of our inestimable Mr. C.

Just admiring your painting in the Sunday thread P, that is pretty awesome

I'll echo what others have already said Sarah...very talented son:thumbup:

I skipped a lot of classes in High School but never Art class simply because I got to sit between the McGee twins:D

One of the twins is now the Art teacher today:thumbup:

P,
He did a wonderful job. I have always admired those that could paint and draw. The ability to add depth and shapes to a flat canvas has always amazed me.

Lookin what I got in the mail today! Anniversary Red Soup.

Perry and Jack, your red soup bones sure look tasty!:thumbup:
Perry, I'm curious about the old photo in the background; is that you and your pooch??:eek::D

Paul, you crack me up! :D:D
I had a "thing" for the Katje twins in kindergarten, but my romantic adventures went downhill amazingly fast after that! :o

Pertinux,

your son has an amazing eye for what goes together and awesome gift for putting those images on canvas, you should be rightly proud of him. Is that a Washington jack with cocobolo scales on the bottom? If it is I wish he could paint me one and make it real so I can complete my set of all five. :D

What a great gift! That's really nice, Sarah. He's got some talent there for sure.

A great painting in so many ways, Sarah!

A confirmation of a son's talent! A wonderful, and thoughtful present for Mom!
A warm representation of two, if I do say so, pretty cool knives!;)
Charlie's desktop!
(how'd that get in there?)
:D

Thank your son please, for allowing its use!!

Nice work, young man!!:)

Yeah, nice painting. A traditonal barlow has two blades; clip and spey (in my opinion). But I am open to other possibilities, I just don't consider a wharncliffe oor even a spear point a traditional blade style for a barlow patterned knife. But I like them all!

The Easter Bunny was good to you. That is one EXPENSIVE basket full of goodies. By the way, I'm jealous.

Wow-Sarah - your Son did a brilliant job -I hope you get to show him what we think of his fantastic work!!!
