Great painting, Sarah! Impressive skill and talent! How big is it? A lovely, thoughtful gift!

I cant quite describe just how these knives have taken over me - but they have.

Each and every one is just a pure Treasure - also a lot of those knives are dear to me because of where they have come from - or for example the Walnut from Charlie's Dad - I feel like saying they get better and better - but how can you say that when you have a ppp in your hand.

A few of my latest....
The Wooden Scales are simply Stunning - whoever had the thought of using this-THANK YOU!!

This is simply awesome...

And yet again GEC/Charlie have created a stunning Knife...

We just changed our Clocks back to start the Darker days of Winter that is looming in the background-the only thing I like about Winter is Soup.........

I love taking shots of Wood on Wood...

Thanks for the fantastic pics Duncan, you have quite a collection my friend

:applause:Beautiful folders, beautiful pictures and beautiful collection! Well done from afar. These little gems have a way of growing on you and then they become the object of our collecting passion. They really awaken something in us and we can't live without the latest rendition. Your collection is extraordinaire Duncan! Thanks for posting these pictures it further fuels my collecting appetite for these outstanding Barlow folders.

Never mind. I found it in the other thread. 6" x 6"!

There ya go. :)

Thanks for all the kind words, y'all, which I read to my son last evening.

Duncan! Remember when you DINT HAVE NO TC BARLOW.

Me neither, almost.

Beautiful array, yours.

I love to picture you setting up each driftwood shot, carefully placing each knife. Thanks for continuing to make the time to share your beauties (and enthusiasm) with us.

Here, on time-delay, are a pair of Palo Santo barlows from the latest run:

I brought in one for me, one for a friend who lives in my computer-- and didn't know which knife was to be mine until she'd chosen hers. Fun!

As others have noted, it's hard to capture the depth of the wood in photographs, and the color looks different with each change of setting, light, etc.

Beautiful, unique wood no matter the given presentation. Great stuff, Charlie!

(My friend opted for the single, making the double mine. :))

Goodness Gracious Sakes Alive!!:eek: Incredible collection, Duncan; you must be very pleased with that line-up!:thumbup: Seeing them all in a single shot is overwhelming to me. Do you realize if you acquire just FOUR more, you could carry a different Charlow each day of even the longest month?? Or if you got even ONE more, you could carry four different TCs every day of the week?? :D:D

My bank account just sent me a Thank You card for not having that many TC's!!

Duncan,

I see that TC Barlow group shot of TC Barlows and the member/rat/possum posting them and my very first thoughts are to shout thief, hoarder, bribery, etc., etc. !!! :grumpy:

I suppose that you and I might be only ones that understand our usual back and forth bantering (well - maybe Paul understands it :D) :D:D:D

I am pretty sure that YOU were the one that started all that banter.:eek::D

This time I will give it a rest (don't expect that to be long lived ;):D) and let you know that I think that nobody trumps your genuine appreciation and enthusiasm for those TC Barlows. You were there in the beginning and have held your course steady and arrived at the port of NZ (a FAR off land indeed) with a mighty fine collection.

Hope you did not start another hoarding thread with that group shot - remember that rat that posted a group shot a while back and started that??!! :o:o:o:D

Nobody deserves those knives more than you, my friend ! ;):)

You (and Paul and Stephen and Charlie ) would have even more TC's today if that Pr----- guy had not gone and done that - or - maybe it was his super GAW that really caused it ! :D

Thank you for the outstanding pictures, which depict those knives so nicely and certainly do them justice. I especially enjoyed looking over your driftwood and garden shots this morning, with my coffee.

I now know that I could never get a piece of driftwood that size in my boat and up that steep steep hill, so your driftwood drop is safe and cannot be copy-catted, well maybe I could hire it done with a barge or something.:confused::confused::rolleyes:

From your sig line - psssssst, want a beautiful Barlow? I know just the guy who can help ya out.

Yea - me too !!! ;):D

Others see your collection and might see that you have a great variety and some of the finest examples - I look at your collection and see that you are missing an African Blackwood Stews Blade. ;);):D

Anyway - thanks for the picture show this morning and thank you for being "good ole Duncan" !! :D:D

Hard to imagine !:eek::D ( Just kidding, because I recall that time, recorded very early on in this very thread, when Duncan received his first TC Barlow - what a day ! )

Sarah,

You demonstrated the difference of the perception of the Palo Santo knife in changing light very well with those photos - thank you. I can see it clearly in the two I quoted. I like the top shot the best - a real nice angle too.

The painting was nicely done and I am sure you will find a special place for the special art.

I'm pretty sure now I know where magnetic north and south really are; Magnetic north = somewhere in Kentucky, magnetic south = somewhere in New Zealand:eek: It seems most of the TC barlows have been drawn to one of these locations!:D Nice collection Duncan.

Luckily I have strong hands and a tight grip on the few TCs that I own, like this one:

While my collection is similar in size to Duncans, our collections are rather small in comparison to places like Vancouver, Sarasota, and where ever it is that knowtracks really lives. :)

Probably more magnetic norths and souths than anyone really knows, I suspect. :D
