Two of my scores from this weekend's Oregon knife show. I posted some event pics in the designated "Oregon" thread.

I was definitely a great weekend and a pleasure to put some faces to screen names, including meeting Charlie, Barry, Dave, Perry, and Lloyd and a couple others. Not to mention poring over Charlie's magical tub of rare knives. First instinct was to grab em all!

Very nice shot, Evan! Looks tasty too!
Caleb, you definitely found some beauties this weekend! I bought more than I was planning to.
Honestly though when will I ever see some of these for sale anywhere, probably never.
Here are some lousy pics, till I get the knives home and can post better ones.
My first ebony 2012 PPP marked double bladed TC.

Two sheep and a Spey.

Radio Jack in ebony, gifted by Knowtracks, thank you Dave!
Gem of a guy!

Lastly, a beautiful 55 Houndstooth LL in natural stag, I couldn't resist it when Barry pulled it out of the case!
I also had Barry make me one of his really nice sheaths. Thanks to Charlie, Barry, Dave, And Lloyd, aka Luger1952 for making this a truly great show for me!

I'm not going to tell any of you here anything you don't already know but Charlie is one of those rare people you hope to get to meet, know and hang out with just once in life, it's now happened twice for me and I'm a better man for it! Thank you my friend for your kindness, spirit of fun and adventurous look at knife collecting! I have learned so much from you!

Looks like your trip paid off. That's a fine haul. Are there any of those Radio Jacks left?

Perry good to see the pictures of your folder scores up already! Beautiful knives and that Ebony TC PPP marked Spear/Pen is a real prize. Thanks for letting me hang out with you at the show all weekend--what a treat. What a pleasure to be in the company of like minded traditional folder enthusiasts all weekend. I will try to get some pictures of my acquisitions posted here in the next couple of days. Caleb nice to see you at the Show and you found some real nice Ebony folders and your pictures are fabulous. I bought a couple more folders from Charlie today that I did not need but just couldn't pass on--an Ebony TC SF/Pen and an absolutely gorgeous #15 Scout SF/Pen EO in rust red Jigged bone. These in some mystical way (grin) emerged from Charlie's honey hole plastic tub today and I bought them--thanks Charlie! What a thrill to be looking through Charlie's under the table storage tub examining all of these many different GEC tubes and finding that EO. Well the hunt doesn't get much better than that. Hope some more of you can make it to this show next year. OKCA does a great job with this show and Eugene OR is beautiful. Plan on it if you haven't been before and be prepared to immerse yourself in the traditional and vintage knife culture that this show is all about--just really priceless.

You said a mouth full there, Lloyd! To get to meet up again with old friends and make new ones is priceless. I would also like to say a big thank you and what a pleasure it was to meet Derrick Bohn and his lovely wife, Wendy. Chris Tucker from GEC, and my old friend Dale Vincent, from Salem OR.
Charlie, you and Chris Tucker were right about that salad at the 6th Street Grill, please sir, I want some more! I can't beleive I actually have a first run 2012 TC in ebony now!

Perry, alas the bounty is in hand:D you absolutely struck gold my friend:thumbup: patience certainly is a virtue...Very happy for you...that ppp...WOW:cool:

Thank you my good friend, Paul! It was something to see, never thought I would see that many TCs at once, let alone a PPP ebony, 2012 knife! I saw many other older knives I would've pulled the trigger on. There were quite a few, but the money went quickly and I just helped Luger1952, Lloyd find them instead. He and Charlie found some incredible treasures!

Hey nugun, the only one I saw was the gift I recieved from Dave, aka Knowtracks. Boy I didn't see that one coming, he said "here take this Perry" I said "I already bought an ebony TC, Dave". He said "Perry, you don't have the ebony in the Radio Jack, look again!" He handed it to me and I was truly humbled. That Dave is one of kind! Dave knew I had the other two, the chestnut jigbone and red jigbone, in the set but never was able to get the ebony. I've got to learn to pay better attention. Lol

Sounds like the trip of a lifetime for Barlow lovers! I can't wait to go next year! Thanks for posting your photos, Perry. And congratulations on a successful trip! (And you got some good knives, too!)

Thank you Scott! Boxed my new knives up today and walked them down to the drop box at the post office. They should arrive home on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. That was a hard thing to do!
