Lastly, a beautiful 55 Houndstooth LL in natural stag, I couldn't resist it when Barry pulled it out of the case!
I also had Barry make me one of his really nice sheaths. Thanks to Charlie, Barry, Dave, And Lloyd, aka Luger1952 for making this a truly great show for me!

Awesome Perry!! They are all incredible, but that triple P two-blade & soup bone are especially nice. Not to mention the Ebony RJ, which I'm sure is especially meaningful, coming as a gift from Dave. What a great guy he is!! Congrats and thanks for sharing all the photos!

Two of my scores from this weekend's Oregon knife show. I posted some event pics in the designated "Oregon" thread.

Thank you for Generously sharing your photos with us. You should feel Very Very proud. Let us praise your industriousness!

Congrats, Perry!! Sounds like a great show with lots of enthusiasm and friendship making going on...great stuff :thumbup:

Ha, that's fair play, fair play. And lesson learned.

To be honest, scoring the PPP in Oregon did take a little bit of industriousness. I didn't get it direct from Charlie, but from a retailer's cluttered table among the sea of vendors. And it was a Case/Bose that initially caught my eye. THEN I noticed the TC Barlow sitting next to it. Turn it over.... $75 for a first run long pull spear in ebony! I offered $65.

It didn't come with a tube but Charlie says he or GEC could probably provide something suitable.

Anyway, it was a pretty cool feeling to score a "Grail" among a huge pile of knives, some of them pretty junky.

Seems he did not know what he had there. Your gain for sure !!! ;):D

Glad to hear that everyone had a great time and found some great blades !! :D

Evan - where did you get that Copperhead ole bud ? Copperheads are plentiful in the Bluegrass. I thought Florida was for cottonmouths and gators !:eek::rolleyes::D

Got this one straight from Charlie himself!

Nice going Somber! If you hadn't snagged that one I would have. Wasn't that great being there at Charlie's table as we tried not to fall over ourselves straining to see what TC treasures were in that plastic box full of the GEC tubes? Wow that was fun and thrilling. Now I understand where you got all your photopraphic practice from and where you honed your picture taking skills. Nice meeting you there at the Show.

Very nice shot, Evan! Looks tasty too!
Caleb, you definitely found some beauties this weekend! I bought more than I was planning to.
Honestly though when will I ever see some of these for sale anywhere, probably never.
Here are some lousy pics, till I get the knives home and can post better ones.

I'm not going to tell any of you here anything you don't already know but Charlie is one of those rare people you hope to get to meet, know and hang out with just once in life, it's now happened twice for me and I'm a better man for it! Thank you my friend for your kindness, spirit of fun and adventurous look at knife collecting! I have learned so much from you!
Perry

Perry....you did good my friend. Glad all of you had a great time at the show. Wish I could make it someday!

It was great meeting everyone! Normally my role is behind the scenes and less vocal, so it was great to get out and talk about knives to so many awesome people

It was awesome when the box came out. Charlie must have sprinkled the tubes with a little crack, though. Before I knew it my bank account was empty :D

While I didn't get to the show, I did have a great weekend. I finished out my Washington Jack Set:rolleyes:

Well done, Rich! Good for you, a complete set of anything Charlie related is no small task!
Perry

Thank you Gev! It was a truly eye opening event!

Thanks Perry,

I think the hunt is half the fun but I didn't understand that till I collected this set. Along this hunt I have made some new friends and learned not to give up looking or asking, having the knives is nice but making the new friends was even better. I'm glad everyone had a great trip and found such great knives, Welcome Back everyone.

Rich
